We had a wonderful weekend stay at Motswiri. From the time we arrived at reception we were welcomed by smiling friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble for the lodge staff. The food choices as well as the dishes served were great. Even though the lodge was full it is small enough that it still feels relaxed and exclusive. The... More

It all starts from the Game reserve gate. You get to drive to your lodge through the reserve, we saw loads on the way to the lodge. Arriving at the lodge nestled on the side of a hill, the staff are awaiting your arrival with refreshing cool drinks and towels. The lodge only houses 5 chalets each with a view... More

If you want a luxurious and relaxing place whilst enjoying safari, this is the place to go. Waterhole is literally a few metres away from the main lodge and 3 villas have direct views of it too, we saw a huge family of elephants who are regularly visiting at the mo, also buffalo, warthog, zebra... We had a lovely room with a fireplace, outdoor shower, and large soaking tub- all overlooking the watering hole. Several animals came to visit while we were there. Saw 4 of the big five plus a pair of cheetah hunt and kill. The guides were knowledgeable and did an excellent job. The staff went out of their way to make... More

There would be so much to say about it. Simply the best hotel experience in my life. The Madikwe reserve is exceptional, the premises are wonderful and the staff is extraordinary. We really felt special during our stay at Motswiri. Thanks to all the staff.

This is the second time to the Madikwe Game Reserve but the first time in the Motswiri lodge. What a great place. The style is thatched roof bungalows which are really nice and the staff were amazing. We were lucky to be the only ones there for the few days we were there which made the trip all the more... We had a great stay here. All the staff were great - our game ranger was able to track animals effectively and all staff were exceptionally friendly. During the course of 3 days we saw elephants, lions, rhinos, cheetahs and a leopard (among other animals). The quality of food prepared by the chef, Frans, was exceptional.

Awesome stay at Motswiri. For a family with children, self-catering often feels better (as you don't have to spend your time trying to minimize the kids' disturbance of other guests). Yet, self-catering rarely comes with five-star treatment which is a pity. Well, at Motswiri it does. From arrival to departure. Nice, professional. The self-catering chalet could use a bit of...
