The hotel has recently undergone a renovation according to their brochures. It kinda shows - maybe? The hotel is filled with odd stairways that lead to some rooms or to mini-lobbies. If you cannot manage stairs there are very few rooms accessible for you. Our room was at the top of several flights of stairs, was warm because of the...

My wife and I needed a hotel in Taos for two nights, and we wanted to be located near the Plaza--we also needed parking for our rental car. This hotel met all of our needs for about $140 per night (and parking was free). Since it was "off" season our room, which overlooked the plaza, was not noisy (as others...

Just returned form a 4 night stay and we rented the two bedroom "suite". The hotel is nor affiliated with the La Fonda in Santa Fe, and it is definitely not on the same level. That said, the staff were very nice and the room was adequate, but I had hoped for more for the money. One bummer was the...

Hotels can all be said to meet standards and others like the Hotel La Fonda de Taos is light years above. It may be the staff who are super friendly and walking historians or the fact it shows a style of building with class.

We loved our stay at Hotel LaFonda de Taos with its rustic old world charm. Our room and bathroom were small but clean and very cozy. The location is perfect right on a very pretty plaza, park and walk to shops and food. The hotel had cozy seating spots - my favorite was a loft on the second floor. We...

My friend and I stayed here with pretty much zero plan or reason to be in Taos. We wanted to snowshoe and we wanted to eat well. We found this gem of a hotel! The rooms were just the right size (we had two suitcases each) and i loved the amenities! It's a city center hotel-- but I didn't find...

This is an old historic hotel right on the main plaza in Taos. If you like the historic value then by all means stay here. Staff was very good, no problems with reservations, and gave us helpful hints. Main lobby has wonderful art, and restaurant on property is nice and we had a fun talk with the chef as no...

This hotel is centrally located on the main Plaza in Taos, so a great location for a walking tour of the town (shops, restaurants, galleries, etc). The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and has lots of character. My only complaint is that the walls in the rooms must be paper thin, as we...

Right on the plaza surrounded by shops and charm. Free parking was why we decided on this over the Taos Inn, as well as free parking. There was much charm. I was extremely disappointed that wi-fi did not work in our room and despite a request to have it fixed, the only response was," No one else have complained. I'll...
