We rented the Phoenix East unit and LOVED it. The setting here is spectacular, and the unit is amazing. All we wanted to do was explore it and how it worked. Fresh eggs from the chickens there were unbelievably delicious. There is a full kitchen so you can make a complete meal. Good WiFi. Apple TV. I would love to...

The earthship Euro is spacious and clean. Three bedrooms with comfortable king beds and two baths. The interior environment although clean lacked the charming idiosyncrasies of other earthship rentals like the Phoenix. The down side was an unfinished outdoor environment without a pleasing view. The view from the front porch was acceptable but the private back area was rough with...

The website and walk about the "flagship" building give a good idea what this building company is all about. The small welcome center is pricey for a walk through a terrarium-like foyer and 45 min video-slide show of everything you could want to know about this unique form of architecture. After 45 min the faint petroleum smell( comparable to a...

I'd been lucky to reserve one of the Earthships for a night and chose the 'Lemuria' model as I was travelling alone. I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff upon arrival in the visitor centre and after filling out a few forms, myself and a couple who were also renting an Earthship followed a member of staff in our...

After leaving Rio Grande Gorge Bridge we continued down road to this point of interest. Interesting to visit but do not know if I could live in those housing arrangements. In our travels we have seen many applications for future energy needs. This is indeed unique. This is what I consider dark green living!! Worth a look see!!

I had done some research about earthship architecture long before we went and was happily surprised by how much I actually loved it. Comfortable, Beautiful and all off the grid. Couldn't have asked for more. All the comforts of home. What amazed me is the fact the the interior temp stays comfortable and constant. I'm inspired to build my own...

This place is awesome. The ingenuity, recycling/ reuse of materials, and eco friendly systems show us all what can be done. These houses are on what looks almost like an alien landscape outside Taos, with majestic mountains in the distance. We've watched this place grow for 20 years. You cross a very deep canyon (the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, breathtaking...

We stayed one night in the Waybee House at Earthship. The house was amazing, totally off-the-grid with full amenities. Absolutely gorgeous views, clean, comfortable beds, full kitchen and living area. As a part of the stay, we also enjoyed a personalized tour of the property which included Q&A and additional information not available with a regular visit to the Earthship...

I had my doubts.....thought of some hobbit type thing with maybe power.........blown away at what I discovered. Homes that look just as, if not more, modern as a cookie cutter subdivision homes in the burbs. These homes feature awesome solar systems, fresh water filtration, TV and wifi, food production, plants to make the air quality amazing, and views that will...
