After staying in Santa Fe for almost a week, my family and I wanted to explore the exciting culture of Taos. We browsed many hotels, but in the end we decided to, as we did at our previous destination, stay at a wonderful Heritage Hotel (a "family" of privately owned hotels across New Mexico). When we arrived, we were greeted...

Spring is ramping up early in the southwest this year, and with that in mind we arranged a short trip to Taos for an overnight escape. We got a good rate at a hotel we'd never visited, the Palacio de Marquesa, and decided to give it a try. All the rooms pay homage to important women in the history of...

Had intended to stay at a sister property, waited too long to reserve our spot, and ended up at Palacio. What a fortunate mistake! We felt like we were the only guests in this small, intimate property. Our suite was a combination of Southwestern style living area complete with working kiva fireplace, separate bedroom, and fully modern bath. We requested...

The Palacio de Marquesa is the ideal place to stay in Taos. In walking distance of the town center yet tucked away on a quiet street. The rooms are beautiful and we loved the fireplace! The breakfasts were delicious and the choices are great. We appreciated all the helpful information from Asia and Heather. They made our stay even more...

The Palacio de Marquesa is such a fabulous place to stay! Loved, loved our room. It was so clean and fresh. Spacious marble bathroom, fantastic king bed, great reading area right by the fireplace. Our breakfast order was taken the night before and we were served the most delicious meal the next morning. Asia Golden, the General Manager, was so...

The Palacio de Marquesa perfectly embodies all that is unique, warm and charming about Taos. The rooms have been updated in a strikingly successful combination of modern and traditional that I found more pleasing than either style on its own. The service is, without exaggeration, world-class. The breakfasts were almost worth the trip by themselves. We have stayed at a...

Had a great stay over the President's Day weekend. The room was fantastic. It had a very comfortable king bed, fireplace, marble bathroom, modern shower. Breakfast comes with the room, many choices. You can have it delivered to your room or eat in the dining room. We had it delivered to the room, and it was delicious. Had an awesome...

Dusty and gritty are two words that struck us about Taos. The Palacio de Marquesa is that opposite of that. It is an upscale, refined hospitality experience. The rooms are as pictured and every bit as clean as they look. The excellent, simple breakfast put it over the top for us as the professional, unobtrusive team elegantly accommodated our family...
