We did not stay at the bed and breakfast but chose to stay in their cabin. That is what we prefer. The host and hostess were lovely people full of information. The cabin we stayed in was not served breakfast which, again, was what we preferred. The cabin was furnished with everything we needed to prepare our own food which...

This B&B is a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Located in the downstairs of a beautiful home in the best part of New Mexico near the cool clear waters of the Pecos River. The fishing is great, the hiking is better. The rooms are quite, accessible (you park your car right outside the room on...

We were looking forward to our three nights on the Pecos River. First problem is that the B&B [located in the walk out basement of a pretty log home] is NOT on the river - it is down the driveway, over the highway, around a gate and thru a field. There are no cooking facilities except a very rusted out...

My family rented the two guest houses and one of the suites in the main house. The guest houses were nice and included a small kitchen, bathroom, and propane grill outside. The suite at the main house included a bathroom and breakfast served every morning. The owners were very nice and went out of there way to make everyone comfortable....

This is as far as you can go up the Pecos River Valley and sleep without a tent or camper. We spent three nights here in early September looking to get away from the Texas heat and just relax. This certainly fit the bill. Steve and Patty are wonderful hosts. We explored the valley and mountain roads during the day...

The Wilderness Gateway is a B&B at the end of the road, or nearly so, into the Pecos Wilderness east of Santa Fe, NM. It contains a main house with a few rooms and then a separate building, a sort of two unit cabin, away from the main house, that has two large suites, each with a mini kitchen, its...

“If you want a cabin and not the b and b ask for the southern cabin”

“The B&B rooms are nice. The 'guest' rooms in the other building are substandard and I would not want to stay there.”

“If you stay in one of the two suites you need to be aware that you share a common living area (TV, dining table, fridge, coffee pot and microwave) with the other suite. We were lucky enough not to have neighbors and sohad the place to ourselves. We did not visit the guest house.”

“If you opt for the cabin, ask for the south room. It's more private and has better views. Most importantly, however, take seriously the warning that you want to bring your own food. The closest restaurant is way, way down a paved but very narrow, winding road.”
