We love Choice Hotels. We are frequent Choice customers, so used some Choice Rewards for a free room. And I’m sure this one could live up to Choice standards if they weren’t short staffed, as the sign out front warned. It is in a central location to explore T or C. Parking is convenient. The bed was very comfortable. But the people above us kept us from a good nights sleep with loud talking, tv and stomping around. The phone didn’t work so we both took turns getting dressed to complain two separate times at the front desk. The staff said we could move (we’d been there for hours, were settled in, in bed). The noise quieted down on the 2nd request. And otherwise, it is in a quiet area with no road noise. Our sink had not much more than a dribble of water, although the shower was good. The extra pillow and blanket were wadded up in a pile on the floor of the closet. The hotel was full of Christmas decor in front, in the lobby, & in the breakfast area. It was very festive, but it is one month past the holiday. We know the breakfasts at Choice are mostly the same standard fair. They are usually attended to, replenished, tables cleaned, etc. This breakfast area did not have any hot water or coffee because ‘the heating element broke’. We were told to use the microwave 10-20 seconds at a time to heat up water. It was very old, the controls just went around, & it wouldn’t shut off. The trash was overflowing, tables weren’t wiped off when someone left, there was trash left on counters. The orange juice machine had dripped so much into the tray underneath, it was about to overflow. Another traveler told us the hot tub didn’t work. We asked for a receipt when we left, but were told we had to look on the website since we used reward points. It just seemed like no one cared. This is not the high standard of a Choice Hotel. I hope they can find employees to improve service.

We thought we'd spend the night in Albuquerque but didn't make it that far up I-25 and ended up choosing the Comfort Inn. We asked to look at a room on the 2nd floor and after seeing it, booked it for a night without using a 3rd party and found the rate to be quite fair. The elevator wasn't working which was fine by us. The west facing room was comfortable, quiet and relaxing. The beds were great! We were grateful that the window opened as we prefer fresh air. Carla, the front desk clerk was helpful and friendly. We had no complaints! Breakfast was served in a downstairs room where an employee was on hand to sanitize the tables after folks were finished eating. The coffee was only so-so but the focus on our health is what counted. Finally the workout room was much appreciated!

This hotel is kept clean & the bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff was polite but could use more training. I stayed 2 nights but my card was only programmed for 1 night. There was no extra roll of TP & the roll in the room was half gone. The coffee pot had not been cleaned. The Direct TV was not working & had to be reset. Also, I specifically gave the check-in clerk a different card to charge the room fees to, but upon check-out, they charged the wrong card. Breakfast was a To Go bag with a microwaveable egg sandwich, pastry or muffin, choice of fruit. Juice & coffee were all you could help yourself to in the breakfast room.

The room was very dirty, the carpet needs to be cleaned. The phones are not working; this can be a hazard for guests who might have an emergency and need to use the telephone, the curtains are ripped and need to be replaced, the refrigerator is full of snow and my fruit freeze.
The hotel is advertising free “ hot breakfast” they didn’t even had coffee, their toaster didn’t work, they didn’t have cream cheese for the beagles, they didn’t have regular yogurt; only light, they didn’t have regular coffee creamer; only vanilla flavored. The breakfast was cold eggs and bread or beagles.

We stayed at this hotel before and it was okay. Now we paid $135.00 for a terrible room. We will never stay there again, even if there’s no other option.

Stayed with a group for several days…and not the first time.
It is hard to believe but true and hopefully will never happen again:
Breakfast item quantities were totally insufficient and in addition two days without morning coffee because they could not figure out how to make it !!
No effort whatsoever to make up for it by offering a rebate or something else…talk about customer service!

We booked online- last minute no mention of “issues”. When we arrived at the property we were informed after check in that the elevator was broken and we would have to walk to our 2nd floor room. No big deal as we are fortunately able bodied, When we asked, we were told that the elevator was not working “for awhile” and they were “waiting for a part” Thermostat in room was set to lowest setting. No way to adjust. When we turned it off, fan kept cycling on every 5 minutes. Manager came to room and said “it won’t stop” we asked for a different room. After 10 minutes, she gave us keys to room next door. Toilet was filthy (imagine disgusting gas station dirty) and there was a large stain on an upholstered bench. Told manager that we would stay in first room even though fan cycled all night.clearly issues with this location. Outside was well taken care of and clearly the poor woman on desk duty wasn’t to blame.

Nice hotel. Room was clean except the toilet. There was poop stuck to the inside of the toilet bowl and it was obvious. I don't know why the cleaning crew missed that and it grossed me out everytime I went in the bathroom. Also, there is no lid on the toilet and the attached hairdryer was right next to the toilet. The cord had to stretch over the toilet. I was afraid that the hairdryer was going to fall into the toilet while in use.

A little confusing at first how to enter because it looks like you are going into the restaurant, however the check in for the motel is at a desk immediately inside the entrance. Pleasant and knowledgeable check in person. Parking available at entrance to each room. The room was very large and seemed clean, though every time you went in and out of the door the long curtains caught in the door. The pool was empty, thinking it was probably because of Covid. The lighting was great in the room and the the beds were comfortable. There was a minimal hot breakfast but by the time you went and got it and returned the long walk back to your room was not so warm. There is a Mexican restaurant on site that we did use for evening take out probably would not utilize . Did feel that it was a good place to stay for the night, but extremely overpriced for the area, especially since the pool was not usable either.

We stayed here because we had an early Spaceport America tour the next morning. The desk clerk was friendly and professional and we were quickly checked in and heading off to our room, which was on the first floor. The first floor seems to have some quirks with bugs who can easily slip in. Our room had an enormous cricket, which we quickly trapped in a glass and let back outside near some trees. Another cricket was also dispatched that way as it leapt into the foyer in back while I entered. Our room, which was a suite, was gleaming. We could still smell the new carpet, which is a smell I love, by the way so it didn't bother me. The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows which provided a nice selection of firm and soft. For dinner, we trotted over to the attached Denny's, but there were other restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is the typical Choice hotel breakfast of powdered eggs and a few other uninspired choices. The juice machine was broken and no carton juice options were available. We did notice bugs in the hall in the morning making their way down the hall. We had a wasp-type creature at our door, and all along the hall we spotted the same insects, plus beetles. It wasn't one or two, but at least 10 to 20. I doubt the other floors had this problem, but the hotel ought to address this issue. An errant cricket isn't unusual, but there were a lot of insects, including smashed ones. The location is great right off I-25 and minutes to the heart of town. We would stay here again, although we'd probably ask for higher floor to avoid the insects.

We have stayed at this location 3x in the last four years. Something has happen to this hotel. The room was not as nice-badly ripped shear curtains. The exterior doors were constantly proped open with a rock. There three men on our floor with ski masks on. When I told the front desk about the proped exterior doors and the masked men the front desk person told me they were construction workers that were cold. It was 70F out. Breakfast: the place looked like it had been tossed-dirty counters, toaster not working, a few cereal boxes, no milk, coffee that looked like tea, two apples. No one around to ask for help. We just left. Outside the restaurant nextdoor is closed. There was trash every where. We will not be returning.
