Stayed at PAM building for one night. Cute decor. Bathroom was so tiny that a larger body could never use the toilet! No shades on the windows and curtains barely gave privacy or kept the light out. Bed not the comfiest but acceptable. The one blanket was definitely not enough to be warm. Kitchen faucet dripped all night. Refrigerator motor was loud when it kicked on every 20 minutes. No tubs in these rooms - must walk down the block to the office to use them and you are limited to 30 minutes. Won’t be back.

We really enjoyed the Loft apartment. The website indicating that you can soak for free is somewhat misleading. You can soak for free but can never get in. We tried three times on a Saturday evening to be told that there was a two hour wait (or longer) and that we had to wait in their waiting area and not in our room. I asked if there was a "waiting list" to be told "no, there's just too many people, everyone has to wait in the waiting room." A few years ago when we went to Pelican we were able to put our name on the waiting list and were notified when it was almost our turn to soak. We were pretty disappointed. The guests at the Hotel should have priority; instead, the spa takes paying customers off the street and you have to wait for an extensive time (and uncomfortably) in their waiting room for hours.... we were pretty disappointed and was not able to get that "free soak"

The last time I was here, I stayed in the Pink Pelican and did a review on that. This time I stayed in the Blue one.
The place has great prices and the check in went fine with the friendly woman who was there. She actually escorted me to the Blue Pelican which is just around the corner, but if you drove to the main entrance, you will have to kind of go in a big circle due to the one way streets.
The Blue pelican had more bed than I had at the Pink one, and this was because we had 3 people this time. Had one big bed in the main room with the TV and table, and a smaller one bed in the next room where the kitchen and bathroom was. The only downfall of course was the bathroom being right there, but it didn't bother me. The issue with the smaller bedroom is that there is a lack of lights and the one that was there was very dim. This wasn't an issue in the larger room.
Rooms had interesting art work that you could I think purchase if you wanted to and had a lot of tables and things around making it more home like feeling and not a barren empty room.
The kitchen was a full sized one, with everything you need to cook your own meals and a regular sized fridge and freezer and large sink.
The toilet was small and was hard to get into due to the placement of the sink. It reminded me of some of the hotels I've stayed in around London were if you were a bigger person, it could get tricky. It did come with basic amenities. The shower, much like the Pink Pelican is stone, much like the hot spring baths. It did take some time for the hot water to come on in the morning, but it did eventually, but the issue is it might be hard for taller people as the spout for the shower is very low and most people might have to duck a bit to get under it if they are over 5'9 or so. The water pressure wasn't too great either.
Location is right in the downtown area, so close to a lot of independent places, but not close to late night dining options where you would have to drive.
Hot springs are rooms in the main building and there are about 7 of them. Everything was the same as my last review about a year or two ago. You get to use them for free if you are staying there and you have your choice of rooms to use with their own size hot tub. Some rooms are better than others and some smaller and others larger for more people. The only draw back is having to wait till another rooms tub is filled before you can fill yours, which can take some time.
Still a fun little place to stay in Truth or Consequences and next time, I may try for the Red Pelican which I was told by the woman checking me in that it was her favorite building...

Very pleasant stay. I love the colors ! It's a unique, quaint motel. The hot springs are amazing ! Everyone was very friendly. The bed very comfortable. I left my ID there accidentally, they mailed it to the location I was staying at the following week and they expedited it. I am so grateful. Visit the Geronimo museum just down the street and go to Elephant Butte. The water is kind of a turquoise color. I DEFINITELY recommend this motel. Wifi is pretty spotty, but I didn't really care.

The Pelican Spa has everything you need in one place. A quirky and quaint mid century accommodation with a very inviting and peaceful lobby area to enjoy the tunes of soundscape on the big screen TV. The hot tubs were private, and they even have one you can reserve for parties of three or more.
Loved the vibe here! The healing waters made me feel fantastic, relaxed, and well. All my achy parts are happy now.
Location is excellent for walking all over the downtown area where there are breweries and restaurants with vintage shops, and a great outdoor store to boot.

Because I grew up in New Mexico, I knew that Truth or Consequences used to be called Hot Springs. I was passing by on a drive towards home, but I never thought of staying at a spa until I noticed the price of this place and decided to try it for a night.
Funky and friendly is how this place felt. My room in the pink building (they have a number of building within a block or so of each other) was almost what you'd call a suite: a sitting "room" with a table and four chairs, a kitchen area with a microwave, small fridge, cabinets and basic dishes, a tiny bathroom, a sort of uncomfortable bed, and a very loud window air conditioner. The furniture was mismatched, there were tacky pictures on the wall, and everything was a riot of bright color. The tiny bathroom didn't have a hair dryer, and he only place to plug mine in was in the main room, which didn't have a mirror. All this, plus use of the spa for 12 hours a day, was a great deal for $65 including tax and a $3 credit card surcharge.
The spa is in the same building as a full kitchen, which guests are welcome to use. The spa rooms are basic: a plain gray concrete tub with a big plastic spigot for the spring water, which pours out quickly. These aren't "hot"... the water was close to body temperature. But the water doesn't smell as it does at many spas, and the minerals in it are supposedly good for all kinds of ailments etc.
This is in the middle of the tourist area of T or C (as new Mexicans call it), with a number of restaurants, galleries, and tourist traps nearby. I got a huge breakfast for $9. I'm planning to come back for a few days when I have a chance. I'd also like to go to the Spaceport America visitor center close by, where Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic launches flights into space from this spacey town.

Overnight stay; had the Mandarin Suite in the Red Pelican building. Aside from the dark wall colors the room was quite large (double room, actually) and was well equipped with small refrig, coffee maker and microwave. Came with real silverware and glass cups, too, as well as wine stems. Huge courtyard services this group of rooms. The mineral spring baths were very clean, private, and relaxing, and the use of them is included in the room rate. The property is dated but quite trippy! Pets are allowed at an up charge I believe.

As are most lodges in the T or C area, their’s is a “period” property. Very clean and oversized rooms. Nice sized soaking tubs in the building where the office is, was a great warming feeling to my old bones. Very informative staff. Enjoyed my stay.

This recent visit was our third booking of the Persimmon Room at Pelican Spa. Room and bathroom cleanliness was much better for our first. During our second visit in 2019, I discovered quite the collection of beard trimmings behind the bathroom sink faucet. At least that was gone by our visit last week, but there was significant soap and toothpaste spatter on the walls around the bathroom sink. The floors had not been swept adequately. Water pressure in the shower was negligible. The shower also leaked from where it came out of the wall. I hate to think what is going on behind the retrofitted false wall. It would be nice if the owners would spring for a properly sized fitted sheet for the bed. I will not be booking again unless I read reviews from people raving about the cleanliness.

This place is kind of quirky much like the rest of Truth or Consequences. It is a step above a dive, but it suited us well. We got a reasonably priced room with a kitchen in the Pelican Apartment Motel, unlimited soaks included. All of the bright paint is to hide the general run down condition of the lodgings, but the bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a kitchen for a couple of days. The bathroom could have been cleaner and the shower was cramped and awkward, but good enough after a month of camping. The soaking pools were what we came for and they hit the spot. Each pool was in a private room and drained between each use with plenty of disinfectant available.

All of our rooms are non smoking. There is a fine of $100 for smoking n the rooms.
Hi, the baths are in the office building called the spa. There are six private baths made out of thick cement to keep in the heat. The water is changed for each use. You also have a small sitting room room to dry off and change that is connected to the bath. The baths are all complementary. Sid bryan, owner
