This 2022 renovated historic "DESERT VIEW INN" is located between Las Cruces and Albuquerque off I-25 in Truth or Consequences ("T or C" as locals say) New Mexico. It's a short distance from Spaceport America. Minutes from Elephant Butte Lake and the "T or C" historic hot water district where you can enjoy a hot mineral bath. Free parking is available by the individual room entrances or an adjacent lot. Exterior (110/115) electric plug-ins are available for boats, etc.. The Inn provides quiet, clean, smoke free rooms with private entrances. Specified quiet hours from 8:30pm to 8:00am. In our attempt to maintain dander free rooms, specified rooms are available for guests traveling with well-behaved, leashed dogs. (A small dog enclosure is available on the premises, as well as pooper-scoopers and bags for patron clean-up.) Please be aware due to the historic nature of the facility, the doorways are NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. DVD players and an assortment of DVD's and BOOKS are available for patrons.

Very charming place - would definitely stay again! Clean, cozy, and very comfortable. You can pull right up to the door, making it easy to load/unload. Quiet and relaxing. Would have liked to have stayed longer! Best place we have stayed at in Truth or Consequences in all our travels through there. Host was very nice, friendly and accommodating even though we arrived after hours. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I was traveling for work in a giant Mercedes Sprinter van when I stopped in Truth ot Consequences for the night. I say this for those who may be traveling in an oversized vehicle and need a place that can accomodate larger vehicles. I wasa ble to park the van right outside my room, no problem. The lot was easy to get in and out of. And there was additional parking for those with even larger vehicles like campers or RV's. I noticed during my visit that there weren't a lot of affordable places with as ample parking options as the Desert Veiw Inn.
The room was clean and orderly and was far better appointed than the price would suggest. It was also surprisingly spacious for a small motel. The motel is relatively conveniently located to all the attractions in town. I walked from there to everywhere I wanted to go, but I would caution that it may be a farther walk than some are willing to make (but no more than a mile or so).
The staff comprised of an Inn Keeper and his wife, who were very freindly and accomodating. I couldn't have asked for more attentive service. I highly recomend a stay at this motel and will most assuredly stay there again whenever I visit Truth or Consequences.

My husband and I were stranded outside Truth or Consequences when our truck broke down. Dan, the manager at Desert View Inn could not have been nicer if he tried. He allowed us to park our trailer on the empty lot next door so we could have our basic necessities. The room we had was nicely refurbished and very clean. In fact Dan is working on the entire Inn to brighten and refurbish the rooms, the parking lot and the patio area. If you want a nice place to stay when you visit the area, I highly recommend the Desert View Inn as a stopping place.

The hotel was clean, charming, and cozy. Owners went to a lot of effort to add homey touches. The dog run was great for my dog. Beautiful view of the mountain.
Would highly recommend to anyone traveling through from interstate. Rooms were exceptionally clean.

The room was very recently updated and had a great view. Dan was very friendly and made himself available to handle any concerns. Nice alternative to corporate chain hotels if you’re looking for something unique to the area.

Clean, quiet spot. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful mountain views from all rooms! We stopped on our way through and enjoyed a great meal nearby before falling into bed. Great drive thru coffee spot to refuel on the way out in the morning. Recommend!

We read about the old hotel on the internet and decided to give it a try. We reserved room #1 which had a sunroom attached. The manager Dan was very nice and told us a few stories about the hotel and it's ongoing renovation. The room was nice and had everything we needed.
