This is a nice tented camp with a large lounge and dining area overlooking the pool and rooms spread out along the ridge. These are big rooms with canvas walls but a solid roof - critical as we were there during a cyclone and the rain was torrential. The room was well-equipped with proper lights, sockets and tea/coffee making facilities.,...

Dear Lazzagear, Thank you for your great review, we are terribly sorry the weather was not at its best during your stay with us. Although the tropical Cyclone that recently moved through Southern Africa (just north of Rocktail Bay) brought a welcome relief with great rains there was also some repercussions such as a disruption to our daily activities. A visit to Rocktail Bay has been on our list for a long time. We went in January to see the Turtles and did see three Loggerheads. What an experience. The Rocktail Camp is set in the Coastal Forrest overlooking the sea. It is about a 20 minute walk or five minute drive to the warm sea and long deserted...

Food: Excellent quality and selection. Enjoyed the light breakfast, excellent omelettes. On out last day, the chef and staff arranged for a box breakfast/lunch for us to take on our 5 hour journey to the airport as we had a very early departure. It was amazing, and he let us pick whatever we wanted and included some extra goodies as...

We spent a lovely relaxing 4 nights at Rocktail Beach Camp. I love the fact that it is hidden in the forest and the unspoilt and untouched feeling one gets here. Very comfortable "glamping" tents with everything you need. A free laundry service was offered which was much appreciated. The kids loved the body boarding in the sea but two...

We were expecting to spend a relaxing week at the "ocean front" camp at the end of 2 safaris. The ocean is a half hour walk away down a dirty path. The beach is indeed beautiful and there is nobody in the water...because it's too dangerous. The snorkeling in the lagoon was a joke. It was a half hour drive...

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3-day stay. Welcoming and pleasant staff. Enjoyed the meals. Just baked treats at afternoon tea was a delight. Activities and passion of leaders was amazing. Didnt feel like a local holiday with all the foreigners. Most importantly got to see a turtle nesting. Enjoyed the pampering and shall be back.
