We like to try out different places to stay rather than stay in the same place when we return to a town. Dullstroom is no different and continues to please us with the variety and quality of the accommodation options. This was our first time at the Highlander and we will definitely be back. Fantastic well appointed rooms with large... More

We travelled with our 9yr old son and found The Highlander to be an absolute gem! Our room consisted of a downstairs area with king size bed & bathroom & an upstairs area were 2 single beds were located - my son was enthralled with his loft area with "moon" window (skylight). Check in was efficient, staff very friendly and... More

The Highlander welcomed us enthusiastically and showed us to a lovely room, log fire burning and heated bathroom floor, particularly welcome on a chilly July evening. The room was spacious and comfortable with bar fridge and tea and coffee. My only negative was that my breakfast was lukewarm to cold, otherwise a most enjoyable stay.

I stayed two nights with my daughter of 8 years. We stayed in one of the Exexutive suites. I can highly recommend this room. Very big, underfloor heating in the bathroom, heated towel rails, a fireplace to cosy up everything. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We ate 2 night in their restaurant. Food is very good, but choice... More

The settings and all amenities of this hotel are exactly what you would wish for however what sets this place apart is the genuine friendly service which we experienced from each staff member. William, the general manager went above and beyond to ensure our group was taken care of . It was an absolute pleasure and we look very forward... More

Room superbly laid out and well appointed. Under-carpet & heating in bedrooms are excellent bonuses. Room TV pathetically small considering the room size. Maintenance should be improved - bathroom vanity tiles badly chipped, black mould growth on tile grout in shower, access door latch not functional. Superb dinner menu - excellent fine dining, great service. Breakfast - food quality excellent.... More

Amazing!!!! Our second time visiting for a long weekend and have never been disappointed. Great location, amazing luxury suites and the service is fantastic! The menu is not that extensive and variety not that great, but the other positives far outweigh the negative (there are many restaurants around that could be ordered from for a night in).

The Highlander offered excellent service and amazing food. Our suite was warm with the fireplace and beds so nice and warm with the electric blankets. Thank so much to William, Joshua and all the staff for an amazing weekend!

Dinner & breakfast was an experience and I would recommend it. It was really nice to get back to room after dinner and the fireplace was lit. Overall I would recommend and would definitely make this my home away from home when traveling through Dullstroom.

The Highlander was really a special stay in Dullstroom. We stayed in one of the luxury suites and it was a real treat. Huge with fireplace, good bedding, big bathroom and everything else you may wish for. Great especially in winter. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent service. The standard of food in the restaurant was very good... More
