We travelled with 2 other couples and stayed at this amazing place from October 6-10, 2016. The overall experience was certainly hard to top. From the moment we landed at the Savute air strip we were overwhelmed by the kindness and service from all of the staff. Our guide, Obed was professional and knowledgable and made our twice daily game... More

In Botswana, we stayed at 3 safari Lodges – Savute, Xakanaxa and Xugana – owned by Desert & Delta (who have 8 lodges and are part of a larger Botswanan company Chobe Holdings – who also own Safari Air amongst other things). Booking three lodges with Desert & Delta made transit between the camps very straight forward and enable us... More

The heat and aridity were intense, uncomfortable for us at midday (no A/C) BUT the plus is that animals come in for water to two water holes filled from bore holes and maintained by the lodge. Day and night we had elephants and giraffes, impala and buffalo, birds and big cats and many others just beyond our spacious deck. If... More

We have never been in Botswana, it is our first trip to this amazing country, to the wonderful world of nature, animals and people! first our camp was Savute SAfari Lodge. Wonderful welcome, the best rooms with stunning views of the walking animals. Savuti staff as one big family and you feel like a part of it. You feel like... More

In early September we stayed at the Savute Lodge for 2 nights, and it was a great experience. The Lodge itself offered excellent accommodations and food, and it's location in the center of the Chobe National Park was excellent. We were able to see a wide range of wildlife during our drives, including predators, non-predators, and birds. Our guide for... More

Our second time here & being such a lover of elephants my husband made sure we stayed 3 nights this time & in lodge #8 again. Great verandah for watching the elephants make their way to the watering hole & back. Even saw a hyena make an appearance one evening & engaged in a standoff with an elephant. Guess who... More

My wife and I have stayed at the Savute Safari Lodge previously in 2013. We had a fabulous time then and thought we would include it in our 2016 Botswana safari adventure. We were there for three nights. LOCATION: The lodge is located within the Chobe National Park. It is accessible via vehicle as well as aircraft. In 2013 with... More

This lodge is a GEM, one of the best lodges in one of the most amazing places in Africa. No doubt Chobe National Park is special, but the people, the guides, the lodge, the comfort, the food, were all equally spectacular. Here at the Savute Safari Lodge we had elephant sights around the clock as the water hole is one of the few fed by a borehole/pump (as the Savuti Channel is dry and has water only irregularly).
