We have been there from 30th Sep to 3rd Oct 2016. Everything was perfect: rooms, service, animals, guides, safari tours, management. And the location and the views on the animals was unbelievable and the experience was beyond words. Great guides, the committed and competent Manager, the location and the animals made this lodge the one we remember most. Sabine and...

Savute Safari Lodge is in the midst of a vast national park and a rather bumpy drive from the airstrip. From the cottages, the pool, and the Viewing Deck, you can watch elephants and other animals come to the adjacent waterhole. At night, the hyenas bark and howl from the nearby sand ridge. Giraffes, impala, and more elephants appear along...

Lovely lodge, great staff and guide. The singing and dancing of the staff before dinner was so lovely and festive, food was excellent. We have seen lots of animals including a pride of lions of 16, the lion cubs were playing with each other so we have been watching this for quite some time, so special. We met the giant...

Savute lodge was our first stay at Botswana. The lodge offered excellent food and accommodation. The staff was very friendly and making us feel most welcome. The waterhole in front of the dining area was amazing. One evening there were about sixty elephants who came to drink water. Our guide for the three days was Baba, who was excellent. Very...

The dining area has full view of the river and you feel up close to nature. We had elephants drinking near us. I loved this Lodge. The staff are just amazing,...

We travelled with 2 other couples and stayed at this amazing place from October 6-10, 2016. The overall experience was certainly hard to top. From the moment we landed at the Savute air strip we were overwhelmed by the kindness and service from all of the staff. Our guide, Obed was professional and knowledgable and made our twice daily game...

In Botswana, we stayed at 3 safari Lodges – Savute, Xakanaxa and Xugana – owned by Desert & Delta (who have 8 lodges and are part of a larger Botswanan company Chobe Holdings – who also own Safari Air amongst other things). Booking three lodges with Desert & Delta made transit between the camps very straight forward and enable us...

The heat and aridity were intense, uncomfortable for us at midday (no A/C) BUT the plus is that animals come in for water to two water holes filled from bore holes and maintained by the lodge. Day and night we had elephants and giraffes, impala and buffalo, birds and big cats and many others just beyond our spacious deck. If...

In early September we stayed at the Savute Lodge for 2 nights, and it was a great experience. The Lodge itself offered excellent accommodations and food, and it's location in the center of the Chobe National Park was excellent. We were able to see a wide range of wildlife during our drives, including predators, non-predators, and birds. Our guide for...
