Had the privilege of visiting the new Duba Plains Camp just after re-opening! Really a fantastic experience! The accommodation is top drawer and some really special pieces of wood finishes - the door to the tent in particular! Derek and Beverley have really added their 'special touch' to the decor and the attention to detail superb!Food was exceptional - 8...

BT! BT! BT! Duba Plains is a wonderful camp, hands down. The managers, Oriole and Lizzy, the chef, Herman, and the wonderful staff treat you like kings and queens. Yes, the game drives are fantastic with many big cats, elephants, giraffe, etc. However this review is strictly to promote the guide, BT... Let me start by saying that BT is...

My wife and I have had the good fortune of visiting Duba many times over the years in many seasons. It never fails to absolutely meet or exceed expectations. The camp is being rebuilt and the temporary facility was excellent. The new camp looks like it will be as beautiful as the Zarafa sister camp. What is great about this...

We had a wonderful time at Duba Expedition camp. We spent New Year's Eve, and my daughter's birthday there, and everything was organised with tremendous attention to detail, far beyond the call of duty. For instance, Jessica, one of the camp managers and a celebrated pastry chef, had gone to the trouble of making a beautiful cake for Tessa's birthday,...

Just returned from a visit to to Duba -- we had a terrific experience! We couldn't have asked for a better setting for our first trip to Botswana -- the camp itself is gorgeously situated, the staff was warm and welcoming, the food was exceptional (thanks, Herman!) and our guide, Kops, was just wonderful (knowledgable, kind, fun). In addition to...

If you want to experience African wildlife up close, this is the place. The Duba staff is very friendly, competent and courteous. The amenities are first class. The food is excellent. The big draw here is the lions that have adapted to prey on Cape buffalo. Birding is excellent. We saw a martial eagle swoop down and catch a warthog....

Duba Expedition Camp (Note this is a different camp than the main camp that is currently being renovated) was fantastic. We were lucky enough to have our own guide, Vundi, who we loved. Vundi is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and a great tracker. His love of the land and animals is contagious and he's a great asset to Duba Plains. Speaking...

Our experience at Duba could not have been better. Alistair, Jessica, and Kerry along with all of the staff provided a fun and hospitable environment. Chef Herman was amazing--very fun, enthusiastic, and provided us with excellent food. They even surprised me with a birthday cake :-). Our guides were outstanding...half of our group was with Vundi and we were with...

We just returned from an 8 day excursion, first to Duba then on to Selinda. The experience could not have been more superb. At Duba we were with 4 other friends. From the time we set foot in the Maun airport, we knew this was going to be a special experience. Pete and Sharon were there to greet us and...

Duba Plains: A lovely luxurious camp with a fabulous eccentric chef, Herman. Staff pleasant. The plains with their intersecting waterways were beautiful. However wild life was very disappointing indeed. Although we were advised that the Lion population was reduced that was a vastly underplayed statement. There was only one small Lion Pride and two buffalo. An extreme reduction that (per...

Hi Linda, so sorry you were disappointed with the game here at Duba Expedition Camp, it does sometimes go like that and it's all so unpredictable, no two days are ever the same and nothing can ever really be guaranteed, which is what makes it so exciting too. Great that you loved the camp and our eccentric chef Herman, who...
