Sandibe was our last "stop" on our month long trip to Africa. I could have remained there for another month!

I was fortunate enough to spend 12 days at Sandibe over a 3 week period hosting 3 different photographic groups. Sandibe was excellent, the rooms are all amazing with great views and all are nice and private, a small plunge pool at each room deck...More
Sandibe is exceptional from your first view of it. The main lodge is styled to look a bit like a pangolin, with sweeping curves and interconnected pieces. The rooms are just as memorable, stretched along a sea of grass and wetlands and offering a lot...More

Another thing to keep in mind is that this is nature; it can be brutal, unpredictable, and unforgiving. Even if you tell the guides that you'd prefer the kids not see a kill, there is no guarantee that they won't witness one, or see unpleasant things. We came upon a dead baby elephant that was being eaten by hyenas, and it almost brought me to tears. Regardless, it was a wonderful, life changing trip!
The travel is also something to keep in mind. The bush planes are tiny, and they run on Africa time. Delays & cancellations are not uncommon. But if your kids like this type of adventure, they'd have a blast. The views from the small planes are extraordinary and the environment is fun.
Hope this helps. I realize that I mostly brought up the negatives; the positive aspects are self evident.

"All are good. There is a Family room as well that is joined by a walkway for easy access at night."
