Ugh this was bad. From the pictures on the website, it looks lovely. And then all the good reviews on trip advisor, I thought it would be great. What's wrong with you people? Seriously, I'm not relying on trip advisor any more. They suck too. First, we went up for a romantic Valentine's weekend. We only stayed one night, thank...

The website photos and the photos submitted by the reviewers of Chrystie House on Tripadvisor reflected the reality, if the commends about the decoration and the house was all about the reviewer's personal opinions, the innkeeper has to respect, but if there was any suggestion that the reality is altered by untruthful photos; this innkeeper, also as the restorer of...

I stayed in the CJ Slocum room with my girlfriend over the weekend and could not be happier with the quality of the room and how we were taken care of during our stay. To get there, we took the Metro North to Beacon from the city, then we walked about 25 minutes to the place. Mr. Lee, the owner...

Our experience at the Chrystie house was nothing less than excellent. Our host, Mr. Lee was a gentleman and a scholar. His knowledge and history of the home and surrounding area were unmatched. He is a kind soul and has great appreciation for all of his guests. He prepared our breakfast promptly and it was delicious. The home is kept...

In late October, early November, I traveled through the Hudson River Valley with my husband and stayed three nights at Chrystie House. We'd done our research for the trip and had high expectations. Let me just say, not only were they met, they were pleasantly exceeded! I'm an architect from Scotland, special hospitality place is always my primary choice. I...

Stayed for the weekend in November. The Home is restored to its original splendor. Big, elaborate rooms filled with beautiful framed paintings done by the owner Yuan. Breakfast was included and consisted of tasty Quiche, croissants and scones served with great coffee. Enjoyed the friendly welcoming personality of the owner who provided history on the house and the area. Very...

We're long time B & B travelers (over 75), and have high standards for staying in them. We were here for 2 nights, along with another couple we traveled with. The house is very historic (18c) and is in a lovely location with a large yard about a mile south of the nice town center of Beacon. Every day around...

We spent the weekend in the Chrystie House while in the area for a wedding. The Inn is a beautiful building on a large, lovely plot of land with amazing trees, brick walls and walks. Our room, the Chrystie room, was very large and very clean. As previous reviewers have commented, the owners art is on the walls, my husband...

Took over the Chrystie House for my son's wedding in Beacon, NY. Lovely rooms in a restored 1821 Federal style mansion. Great breakfasts catered in from Homespun, although way too much food. Mr. Lee did everything to make our stay pleasant and it was a pleasure to have such an interesting host at a B&B. He shared great stories and...

Our five night stay at Chrystie House was delightful. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, but not far from the main street area of Beacon, and the many shops and restaurants. The house itself is beautiful, and showcases the fabulous art works of owner and host Yuan Lee. Yuan is an engaging host who offers historic and cultural...

I treated my husband to a weekend in Beacon, NY for his 40th birthday. I booked our stay at the Chrystie House based on all of the raving reviews, and we were surely not disappointed. The house and the grounds were so beautiful and peaceful. It was exactly the change of pace that we needed from our hectic everyday lives....
