Overpriced merely ok hotel on falls. I came in an RV for family wedding. Everyone staying in hotel. Our room had a lovely view. But it was a huge struggle to open curtains to see it and close them at night. Temperature was either hot or freezing. Bring flashlights because there is almost no lighting. Even the ONLY stairs from door to elevator was so poorly lit I had trouble seeing the edges of the steps. No light in closet. Only switch for both bed lights was on only one side. Bagels left outside door later than I would’ve liked did not come with butter or cream cheese. Called and asked for them but no dice. No housekeeping. No waste basket for coffee service. Am I supposed to wash my coffee mug or call for another? Glasses too? Everything is black or cream. Sounds ok but add dim lighting and forget it. I’d call it good for a no tell motel except it’s expensive. Also front desk person had zero personality. I told them before coming I’d be in an RV. She explained my room was in another building down the drive back to the street across the bridge and I could park out front to unload my baggage. I pointed to my vehicle. I don’t think she saw it because she barely turned her head. My husband went to talk to her and suddenly she was walking outside and showing him where and what she was talking about. Impossible. Luckily they have ample parking. We then schlepped our bags down the street around the corner over a bridge down the stairs up the elevator and down the hall to our dark room where we didn’t know how to adjust the thermostat, open the curtains, or what was included in the mini bar and what wasn’t. Next morning I found a piece of paper on a shelf high above the mini bar turned over that explained only 2 free bottles of water. The little split of wine set out with an opener like a gift cost $. Don’t know what is free with breakfast to this day. Don’t think I will stay in any hotel again until they get back to full service. There were housekeeping staff working without masks. I think not having housekeeping in the rooms is a load of xxxx and hotels are just trying to get more profit for less service.

We (a couple in our early 40s celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary) had a very nice two-night stay at Roundhouse. The hotel is very cool and is situated next to a beautiful waterfall. It is right off of main street. We took Metro North from NYC and did not set foot in a car the entire time we were there. There is a free bus that takes you from the train station to Main Street (doesn't run on Sundays). We rented bikes from People's Bicycles and had fun exploring Beacon as well as going over the bridge to Newburgh. The hotel oddly did not have any bicycle parking, but they let us keep our bikes by the front desk. Our room had very tall ceilings. Very industrial feel. Exposed brick. The mattress was too firm for me, but fine. The A/C unit was noisy but luckily we didn't need it much. The wifi incredibly fast for a hotel (200 mbps). Mini fridge in the room. Breakfast was delivered / already in the fridge due to COVID. It was fine. Two lame tiny bagels and two muffins, plus yogurt and OJ in the fridge. The hotel does not offer room service. The hotel was a little noisy and we were woken up when our neighbors came home late at night, even though we brought our own sound machine and were running it loud. Noise travels through the door and into the echoy room. We had a great weekend and this hotel got the job done for us.

Stayed in the main building which has a decent restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating. Originally a textile manufacturing site, hotel maintains a retro-industrial aesthetic. Rooms are big and contemporary.

Having been to Dia Beacon many times in the past years, I had no idea how quaint the downtown of Beacon is until this past weekend. We initially had planned a trip to Cape Cod but had to cancel it last minute due to family commitments... as we were leaving to see Family on Friday, I told my husband, why not just pack an overnight bag and see where we land at the end of the night. As we were driving to see family, I saw one room left at Roundhouse, so I went ahead and booked it. Not knowing what we were getting ourselves into, we were surprised by how cute the hotel is upon arrival. Having been somewhat of a planner my whole life, this past year certainly taught me a lot of things... things I didn't know I needed to learn. Anyhow, the rustic room decor, high ceiling, and wonderful brick wall/window made our stay very pleasant. We also dined at the hotel's restaurant the following day, the water view was beautiful and calming. We certainly wouldn't mind coming back here again and grab a drink at night next time.

My husband and I really enjoyed a night away at the Roundhouse. The room was simple, very clean, with amazing views of the waterfall and river. Loved the location away from the busy Main Street but close enough to walk to everything. We had lunch at the restaurant in the lobby overlooking the waterfall then walked along the Main Street and enjoyed the shops. The free room service breakfast was an unexpected touch - yogurt, freshly baked muffins and bagels and orange juice was lovely to wake up to while enjoying the view from our room. I highly recommend this little getaway.
