Been going to Bear Mountain twice a year for the past 17 years and have ALWAYS stayed in the stone cottages. When we book it (online or over the phone) we ALWAYS request a room with an exit door in it because we like the layout and convenience. We NEVER get what we ask for. This time around I booked...

Bear Mountain Inn includes the Inn itself, several stone cottages and the Overlook Lodge, which allows dogs for a $45 fee. We had planned to spend the day hiking before our 3pm check-in but it was Easter and although we arrived at 11:30am they had already closed off access to the parking lot and cars were backed up all the...

I was very disappointed with our bed in the Cottage It was Hard as a rock They have done some upgrades to the resort But not with wifi I was not able to get online all weekend. I would not recommend staying in the cottages unless you have a large group. We had to share the porch Living area and...

I spent a night here as a stopover on the Appalachian Trail. The feel of the place is quite nice, with adequate public spaces and an appealing, comfortable room. The Hiker's Cafe on the first floor serves ready-made and to order items, and is fine for a quick lunch. The 1915 restaurant upstairs also features a bar area. I enjoyed...

Visited the Bear Mountain Inn for a Wedding after spending a few days in the city, we stayed in one of the suites in the Inn on the third floor. Location was very convenient for the ceremony/reception. The Suite slept 5 adults comfortably with room for at least 1 more. The rate was a bit high, but overall worth it....

We stayed here for a break on our drive to New York City. Was lovely and would probably be more spectacular once the trees are in bloom. I'll tell what was in full swing though! The flying bugs! My whiny teenagers freaked out when they were forced to be part of nature. Nice place. Might go back; with my husband....

This Inn is very easy to get to, clean, affordable and great for a simple family stay. The grounds are beautiful and you can walk everywhere...a little zoo, a lake and a nice enjoyable hike to score Montgomery. Its a great location to go tour around. We went to West Point which is a must see, Hyde Park, Hudson Walkway,...

We stayed in a Cottage that had a shared common area, different for us but we managed to get along with the women's retreat that was there. They were friendly towards my wife and I, asked us to join them for wine and conversation. The rooms were suppose to be all for them but they had late minute cancellation so...

bear mountain park has something for everyone. paddleboats in the summer, ice skating in the winter and a carousel all year around. the downside is the parking fee, which is $10. The zoo is small and the animals seem cramped. Skip the expensive brunch at the inn- most of the food trays weren't resupplied in a timely manner.

The Bear Mountain Inn is a beautiful lodge-style facility that houses guest rooms, an excellent restaurant, functions rooms and gift shops for the hordes of day-trippers that descend on the state park throughout the year. The grounds outside the Inn were once considered a potential site for the winter Olympics; there is a skating rink and derelict ski jump on...
