This is a great getaway. Lodge is quiet, clean, and has gorgeous views of the lake. Rooms have been updated with plush pillows and crisp bedding. There is a lot of hiking, a carousel at the main lodge, and a small zoo. I would love to come back and stay longer. My only complaint is the price. This room is...

I booked a night in the Overlook Lodge through a third party website, I had a few days off during the week and wanted a quick upstate getaway with my S.O. I read the reviews for this place before I booked, and I have to say that most of them are right about this place. The Overlook Lodge is a...

Took our grand daughter away for her birthday so she could hike in the mountains and collect rocks. Something got lost in translation and we ended up in the Overlook instead of the Bear Mountain Inn which was not really a big deal because the Overlook is away from the crowds at and around the Bear Mountain inn. We had...

Wonderfull place . Staff was great. Stayed here instead of nyc, and took train into Manhattan everyday. Great vacation. Beautiful area . Can be a little hard to drive into on a weekend, because it's so popular , but weekdays are quiet and relaxing

I had mixed feelings about spending the week here while my bathroom was getting renovated in the city, especially since I did not have a car, but the folks at the inn were so accommodating it made my stay very pleasant. Yes, the lodge is just under a mile away from the inn, so you have a bit of a...

Very accommodating to families (and pets if you travel with them). Clean rooms in a nice looking building with a very welcoming common room that has a great view. Easy to get to wonderful hikes and zoo. Also very nice ice rink nearby. Continental breakfast is okay.

My wife and I stayed a night at the lodge and got massages at the spa in the inn. We had a perfect getaway weekend. We did have an issue with scheduling the massages - we booked over the phone for Saturday but when we got there they had booked us for Sunday (partly our fault for not double checking...

We recently toured the Overlook Lodge and booked it for our wedding!!! Bethany Rodriguez gave us the tour and was able to answer EVERY question. This was the best wedding planning experience yet. Bethany is professional, patient, experienced, and very willing to help. We were so relieved we found the overlook lodge to host our wedding and were so relieved...

I was pretty unimpressed with my experience at Bear Mountain Lodge. First off, we got no confirmation email when we booked. When I called to check it had gone through, and mentioned we would be taking public transport (train from NYC to Peekskill and then cab), they never told us that we would need to check in at the Inn....

I recently returned from an overnight at bear mountain lodge. I read reviews before going so I knew that we had to check in at the inn before going to the lodge. Honestly, I felt like the lodge was more exclusive and nicer than staying at the inn, although they charge more for the inn. I enjoyed being able to...
