Detailed Reviews
We stayed for two nights in this beautiful old hotel and it was wonderful. The common areas were kept old and historic....a bar, dinning room, stairway to second floor and living room. The bar was lively with people drinking, eating and laughing. The "living room" had lots of couches, chairs, and tables to relax, have a drink, talk or just watch the fire. Our room was up to date, comfortable, with plenty of spots to put your toiletries, your book, your laptop and your clothes. The bathroom was clean, with new fixtures and plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, lotion and conditioner. The breakfast, not included in the room rate, was amazing, served family style with plenty of food (eggs, French toast, pancakes, bacon, sausage), coffee, juice and quick service. Well worth it! The owner and his wife were gracious, friendly and even brushed the snow off our car while we ate breakfast! I would highly recommend this hotel.
PS - all the rooms are on the second floor so you have to walk up stairs to get there

We were quite happy with room number 6 for two nights. The owner checked us in and was always on the premises. Comfy bed and full of old time charm with all modern necessities. Bathroom was updated and beautiful. The surprise was the beverage center down the hall. Free coffee, tea, hot cocoa and a fridge for $1 sodas and water. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant in the hotel, locally sourced pork chops.

My wife and I LOVED the Historic Hotel Broadalbin! We stayed in room #11, which is really beautiful. The entire hotel is so picturesque, and makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. Dave, the owner/manager, was so helpful, and made us feel really welcome. A great experience beginning to end!

Always enjoyed this restaurant, until Saturday. Didn’t have a reservation but they had a table for us.
Very friendly waitress(maybe owner) took our drink and meal order. A little wait for the drinks but it was fine. Then nothing. No one came around again. It wasn’t slammed but several tables that had reservation signs.
We noted one table served appetizers that came in after we did. We had a special and fish.
We asked a passing waitress if she could find out when we might get our meals or what happened. She never returned.
After an hour and a half we decided it was ridiculous and went to the bar to pay for the drinks and tell them not to worry about our meal. They apologized but offered no explanation. A real shame as we had enjoyed it over the years.

We stayed here to avoid the ridiculously expensive hotels in Saratoga Springs. It is about 30 minutes away and was surprisingly nice. The room was spacious and the host was friendly and helpful. The outside porches are fabulous. Breakfast service was extremely slow, but the food was good with generous servings. The outside of the hotel could use a little maintenance.

This really is a lovely hotel. The building has old world charm, and the rooms remodeled to be clean and perfect without destroying the antique feel. Room ammenities were perfect, though no fridge and a common coffee area down the hall. There is a wonderful second floor front porch with comfy couches. Owners were friendly and attentive. We were able to book this easily during racing season at Saratoga - the track is about 30 minutes away. Dinner is served in the resraurant and the food was quite good with generous portions. No breakfast here for us as we were here mid-week, but there is a great diner a very short walk away for that. I really enjoyed my two-night stay in Room 8.

The hotel has been remodeled and the room was beautiful. It was decorated with antiques which added charm. Exceptionally clean room and bathroom. Bed and pillows were very comfy. The second floor porch has rocking chairs, couches and tables. I really enjoyed the porch as it was a beautiful afternoon and I was able to read on the porch. Also, the church across the street chimes on the hour and it was beautiful. There is also a restaurant on site that was very good. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

We met the owners when we checked in and they were very friendly. Rooms were very nice with a great bathroom, comfy bed, and super clean. Dinner was really good, excellent fish fry, seafood sampler appetizer, and calzone and a nice reasonably priced breakfast as well. All staff members were very friendly and professional.
