The Wingate at Mott Haven is one stop from Manhattan. It is extremely modern, very clean and the staff are all pleasant. Saturday and Sundays the restaurant has a live dj and the food is delicious. Highly recommend.

The best customer service experience although the hotel in a bad neighborhood. The staff are friendly and take care of the guests. Security and valet were nice people and gave directions well. The valet even wiped off windshield from the bugs from the drive over. Only concern is the rooms are very clean but small. The shower area needs more privacy and space.

Handy location in South Bronx near to subway. Modern hotel in a somewhat less appealing neighborhood. Rosa’s restaurant/bar is lively and noisy in weekend with live DJ. Continental breakfast is basic, but there’s an IHOP within walking distance.

The room was clean, new and very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless but a bit small. I found the frosted glass shower/toilet enclosure to be a bit odd. Check-in and check-out were simple and the on site parking was great.

We stayed here because it's only two train stops from Yankee Stadium. However, there was some train suspensions and we had to get creative in finding a way back to the hotel. The hotel is lovely, but the area is not for the faint of heart. There is a restaurant in the hotel, and the food and staff were both beautiful. However....the restaurant is very LOUD. They have loud club music playing, which makes people also talk loudly. Such a shame because the food is so good. My opinion is they cater to the residents that live nearby. That's a good thing, but keep that in mind if you stay here. You can order off the menu, and they will deliver to your room. This restaurant has also opened a rooftop bar/club in this hotel. So if your room is right next to it, you will get club music till around 10 pm. So don't plan on going to sleep before then. I suggest making sure you ask for a room far away from the rooftop lounge. Housekeeping is fair. The room was clean when we arrived. However, they didn't provide service the next day, and the following day, they made up the room and changed out the towels but didn't leave us any hand towels. Ugg. All of the staff has been just lovely. Would I stay here again? Probably not. The loud restaurant and just the lousy area probably would make me look somewhere else.…

Amazing service! Khristina in particular at the front desk was super accommodating. I'll definitely be back for future NY visits. Location is also good and hotel is very clean with good ammenities and free breakfast.
