We have just completed a brand new renovations of the hotel. As one of the first in the country to unwrap Choice Hotels Rise and Shine package! Located minutes from all major attractions in Albany, and located right off the Empire Bike Trail that extends across the state. We have 87 standard rooms and suites, and two bridal suites. We offer a heated pool, hot tub, and fitness center. Complimentary breakfast everyday, and a 24 hour coffee station. We have added a market to the lobby offering snacks and drinks 24 hours a day. Also we have a large ballroom and boardroom available for meetings and weddings up to 200 guests.

Clean and nest, very comfortable. We needed a one night stopover during a trip up to the Adorondak area and did not want to pay a small fortune for one night in 'vacationland' during the Labor Day Weekend. This worked out very well. Just a little off the beaten path (maybe 8 miles), Fair price for the area.

I stayed for one night after attending a wedding in Averill Park. I had very low expectations for this hotel, after reading the previous reviews, however my experience was positive. The renovated rooms were very nice. I stayed in a king suite. The room was clean and the bed & pillows were comfortable. Check in took a while due to incorrectly assigned rooms in wedding room block, and the front desk staff could be a little friendlier--but that was the only negative of my stay. Although I didn't try the free breakfast, others in my group who stayed at the hotel said that the breakfast was good, as well. Would recommend this hotel for those attending events in the area.

Moderately-priced chain motel, showing its age: bathroom door couldn't close; carpet damaged in several places; elevator and WiFi terribly slow. Wide, carpeted staircase next to the breakfast area offered a safe alternative to the elevator. Room has a (tiny) fridge and microwave. Quiet and efficient A/C. Crisp linens, with a nice selection of different types of pillows. Good parking. Check-in staff was super polite, and helpful with menus for nearby pizzerias and diners. Limited breakfast buffet during COVID, but better than we had at a competing chain in another state a week previously. A few notes: 1. GPS accurately directs you into the small business park in which the motel is located, but there is no sign on the motel itself: you will find it in the back right corner, behind the convenience store. 2. This property is a convenience stop off the highway: do not count on any fine-dining nearby.

Super welcoming- clean , modern and spacey rooms. There is a large area in the lobby with a fireplace to sit and enjoy a cocktail and read. The morning breakfast is very inviting. Plenty of seating . Nice pool and fitness room - I would stay here again

First was booking a room. I called because we needed 1 night for a wedding happening there and the person said oh there’s no more blocked rooms but I also went on the website and that said rooms were available so I mentioned that and she was like well we have rooms just not blocked rooms but I can give you an unblocked room. Had I not looked online I may have thought all rooms were booked and tried to stay elsewhere communication was not clear. Then she told me it would be over $200 but I again referred to the website that has a lower prepaid rate and she said oh well I can give you that rate if you want. Why not tell me all rates available and let me pick? Another wedding guest had a similar issue they saw rooms available online two days prior to the wedding but called and the person actually said you’d have to call after 11p because I can’t see and don’t know what would be available. How do you not know what’s available at your own hotel? Booking aside you would have to pay more for an early or late check in. This used to be a just a nice thing the hotel did based on availability but they couldn’t let me know if I could do an early check in at all in advance. Wedding started at the same time as check in so knowing ahead would have been valuable we checked in after instead. Another couple called for a room a few nights prior and staff couldn’t even tell them what was available and as a result they didn’t bother to book and stay. That also aside we get to our room and our sheets had blood on them in quite a few spots top and bottom sheet. We didn’t check in until 10 pm so they had please of time to ensure we had a clean room. We called and the person at the desk said oh I can’t leave the front desk but you can come down and get clean ones. No apology that we were given filthy sheets and then said to my husband what size sheets do you need is it a king? You should have a list at the front desk with what size beds are in what room. Also he had no apologies when he got there in person to grab new sheets. The bathroom could use a little work in that room as well peeling wall paper and grout that needs to be replaced. Staff was also confused with multiple weddings happening about which events for which guests. This was a pricey staff for one night compared to many others and I’ve stayed cheaper places with much better service. Staff needs more training and clear communication about what’s happening but especially customer service training. Wouldn’t stay again unless it was my only option. Bloody sheets is unacceptable and staff not knowing if rooms are even available and not providing all options up front is just bad business. We just need an adequate room and stay and aren’t looking for a five star experience from a basic level hotel chain but too many basic needs weren’t even met. Wi- if also didn’t work at all during our stay.

Yes, the front desk should have known what type of sheets that you needed because they can see what size bed you have in your room. The housekeeping staff should have paid better attention when they cleaned your room. I do hope that you mentioned the internet to one of the staff members so that they could have reached out to the wireless provider. We have had a recently large amount of turnover, which unfortunately means we have had to have staff be by themselves sooner rather than later. The hotel is still under renovation so there is noise/banging starting at 8 am but the room was brand new. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Check on staff were very nice. The housekeeping policy here is to knock on all occupied rooms early as i Heard the staff talking about it. Soo know you'll be up early. The hotel is gorgeous and is way above average. The only minor thing is the curtain is too long and covers the heater/air conditioner so i rolled them up so i could use it. See the photo. Beautiful renovation.

I came for a wedding and it was one of the easiest and delightful experiences. I got a link to check in hours before I came so everything as far as payment and my request for early check in was taken care of before I even walked in the door. They had free breakfast daily and a big swimming pool. The only downside was the rooms need updating as far as the A/C , Wallpaper, bathrooms etc go. I was only there for a day so I didn’t mind but had it been a longer stay I would’ve requested a different room. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable as well!

I have never been to a hotel, and met the most friendliest lady I ever met this time at the comfort inn. She was very friendly, smiling a lot , had a lot of information to share share just very very friendly as for the hotel very clean the bed was comfortable even smell good in there. The check in staff was nice but that's where the positive ends. Peeling wallpaper, badly stained carpets, curtains that don't block out light at all, chipped furniture, sticky room phone and remote, concierge don't answer phone, staff ignores you if you try to request anything(like additional towels to shower with), shady guests who hang in the hallway ... Need I continue? The breakfast consists of stale english muffins. RUN.

This was a very interesting experience because we had family staying in the same hotel at the same time and their experience was very different than ours. Their room was great and they had a very positive experience with their stay. Ours started off challenging. We got to the hotel, a family of four, and were given keys to our room. We get there, and though it is a really nice room, there is only one king-size bed. So, we go back to the front desk and get it sorted out so that we have two beds. They send us to the new room, not far from the first, but this one has a terrible odor as soon as we walk into the room. We open the closet and there is visible mold in the closet. It was very hard to sleep in this room because of the smell, not to mention the bus load of teenagers that arrived at the hotel after midnight and began running up and down the hallway and making racket for a very long time.
On a positive note, the breakfast was fine.
We were on the ground floor and our family staying there that night, they were on the third floor. They didn't have an issue with the smell, the mold, or the noise. I guess it's the luck of the draw.

Pool was 8 am til either 9 or 10 pm ! Breakfast was7-10 am! The breakfast was a full breakfast with scrambled eggs, make your own waffle! A fridge with fruit, yogurt, and lots if choices for beverages!
