This motel is unassuming. The rooms are a bit small; I'm not sure I'd stay here if I were spending a lot of time in the room itself. There's not much around it, though it's only 5 or 6 miles to eating places in both Catskill and Tannersville. But the rooms are clean and quiet and mine had a fridge. It's a good base if you are doing hiking in the eastern Catskills.

Stay away from this place. Manager at front desk didn’t want to help me change rooms being that I accidentally reserved a room for smokers when I needed a non-smokers room. He stated that he was all out when Travelocity clearly showed available non-smokers rooms. I was with my 14 year old son and his mom. We also had bugs in the smokers room and a filthy toilet seat. I returned the keys for the room and lost my money cause I was hit with a $109 cancellation fee, the cost of the room.

Check in early was no problem. Room was clean and quiet. The only gripe was low water pressure, other than that very satisfied. The grounds were neat and clean and the pool ready to go. The oaks were beautiful.

First the good, low price and great location. Now the bad, non smoking room had cigarette smell all weekend. Seemed to come from rental unit below it. TV did not work and bathroom was not clean. Hopefully they can hire better cleaning crew when people start accepting jobs again. Many Hotels are having trouble hiring. I will not be back after 15 years of going there. New owners see like nice people though.

We stayed here several times in the 2010s, but the motel; seems to have changed hands and is no longer kept the way it was. Grounds are not as well tended, and the whole place looks run down. The dead bolt on our door didn't work—and on our first morning, a staff person just barged into our room while we were sleeping, as if he didn't know we were there. After that, my husband jammed wedges between the door and the jamb to make sure no one could enter. Most everything in the room worked, but the mattresses are cheap and the TV would not get a full picture, no matter what we did to try to adjust the aspect ratio. The walls are paper-thin—we could hear everything from the adjoining rooms. Not likely to stay here again.

A pleasant please to "crash" for a short-term stay, Red Ranch Motel was better than I bargained for. Clean, convenient, well-maintained (if very old-fashioned, which was kind of nice) PLENTY of hot water, soaps and shampoos, wide selection of TV channels and reliable WiFi - our room was totally satisfactory EXCEPT: 1: The beds were WAY too hard - - like sleeping on boards 2: The coffee was awful - - like drinking brown water 3: The refrigerator was so cold it froze everything we put in it within hours. I admit I'm being picky - for the price I really have nothing to complain about. Just be ready for these petty annoyances. We were there in early January 2021. The room was frigid when we arrived and it took most of the day for the heating to kick in but once the room warmed up, it stay very comfy the remainder of our occupancy. It's also super-convenient that Rip Van Winkle Brewery was right next door. We simply walked over for dinner. Tim - our front desk manager was also super-nice and as professional and efficient as could be. Would definitely consider staying there again.…

I stayed here with my family. It's a classic American hotel, apparently run by very Americanized South Asians. Everything was clean in the room, and my kids were delighted by the playground. The pool was not operational. I don't think that had anything to do with Covid, because other facilities in the area had their pools open. All in all, I had no complaints about this place.

I went to Hiking near Catskill, the rooms are clean and organized, the staff is so nice, Ms Farzeen is so friendly and always help you with everything that you need. The places is so quiet and zen. Is little far if you don’t have way to transport (just walking) but is pretty near if you go with car or bikes. The restaurant next to the motel is amazing! The motel has pool and games area so go with kids is good option

Just ok for a overnight stay nothing special about it, We wanted to find a place to stay overnight but most places were already booked and the pnes that wertrn't cost alot more so when my husband saw that this place was available for a decent price he booked it. When we got there and checked in the place lacked alot of things we normally would expect to find in a reasonably priced Motel. The outside walk to the room you had to walk up 2 steps to get to walkway landing but they had no railing to hold onto as you walked up the steps, the queen size beds were ok the pillows were ok but 1 of the electric outlets was broken, the bathroom had a stall shower but no grab bars in it. thet had no internet connection only Dish TV, not even USB ort. the room only had a mini regregerator and coffee pot but no Micro Wave, the next day they did not even have breakfast even . We just showered and checked out then set out to find some place for breakfast/ We were very disappointed in this place and we woulld deffinerly not recommend it to anyone.…
