B&B is rather worn with OK air conditioning, front desk was marginally hospitable, but dog friendly which for us was critical. The location was great since it is near the lake, and close to restaurants.

A little piece of Scotland in Upstate NY. The Inn has both Lodging and meals. The food is fantastic! Great getaway rates with meals included. The Inn holds many special events, most with a Scottish theme

What a wonderful place and the people are equally wonderful. One of the owners (Val) gave us a personal tour and included ghost experiences that have been had here. My dinner of king crab legs was awesome but my hubby got a filet mignon that was not as good as expected. With that said I would come back here anytime...

Ambience doesn't count for much when it's 99 degrees outside and the place doesn't have central air conditioning - just woefully inadequate window units. There was also some kind of fan in the room, but a fuse blew and that stopped working. I didn't get much sleep that night because of the heat. Also, despite what the adverts said, there...

Staying at the Brae Loch is like being home from college for the weekend. Although that stage in life has long passed, the Brae Loch takes me back to the feeling. There's booze in the basement, a huge yard/park/lake next door, food downstairs when you wake up, super comfy beds, oriental rugs, textured wallpaper, lots of wood, dogs, and pleasant...

We came into Cazenovia for a family event, our first time to this region. From the moment we stepped into the Brae Loch we felt welcome. Every staff member we encountered during our 2 night stay was helpful. Our room was spacious with a window that could be opened to allow the spring air in. The memory foam mattress on...

We arrived just as the desk was closing after a very long day. The complimentary scotch really hit the spot! The inn feels like something out of a movie, with its historic feel. It was great for a short term stay. Unfortunately, we didn't get to enjoy the patio as we had an early departure. But we did enjoy a...

Very disappointed with theThursday Crab Leg buffet. Buffet table so crowded you couldn't put down your plate to open the hot food containers. Roast beef, ham and chicken were dry and overcooked. Probably cooked ahead and warmed up. Entrees were not labeled. Not good for a person with seafood or other food allergies. A lot of soupy mayo based salads...

Brae Loch Inn was a wonderful getaway for two nights in Upstate New York. The room--Robert Burns--was great at the end of the hallway and very personable. We picked a couple of nights leading into the weekend and were the only guests the first night. Very quiet, which was a good thing! Stress reducing. We're sure that most of the...

Great stay - loved the close proximity to the beautiful lake and quaint downtown. The Inn is filled with antiques and old-world charm. Just loved all the little eating spaces. Especially enjoyed the downstairs tavern for a late night drink. Great billiard room! Continental breakfast was satisfying - did not eat another meal there but they have both indoor and...
