I had a few days off from work and did not want to travel very far. Chenango Valley State Park is close to my home, but I had only played golf there. I got an electric site and it was relatively flat and pretty spacious. The staff was friendly. I am not sure why this park has received poor reviews,...

The newly renovated cabins are so nice!! Full kitchen with refrigerator, stove and plenty or storage space for all the items you bring. We had a peaceful, relaxing vacation and had plenty to do while there for a week.

A surprise find for us and wish we had more time to spend at Chenago Valley as there are lots of stuff to do: golf, hiking trails (most of the trails are under the shade), canoe, kayaking, fishing, biking path is great, movie night event for family,...etc. Park officers are very helpful and friendly. It was a pleasant stay, especially...

We were invited to join friends who were camping there for a Fourth of July Party-what a great surprise this park turned out to be-it was so peaceful and clean and safe. The walking trails are maintained beautifully, the camping areas are spacious, the bath houses were spotless. We took our dog with us and were surprised by how many...

We were there in the middle of the week so getting a tent site was easy. The site was a nice location and being mid-week it was quiet. There is a nice beach here where the swimming is good. It's not right at the tent area so you will probably want to drive. The campground is clean, with decent bathrooms...

We were 2 families with 4 kids between us. Each family took a cabin. We were pleasantly surprised at how large the grounds were. The cabins were very nice and spacious. We felt completely private with plenty of space outside for the kids to play. The beach area was very nice with concessions and bathrooms. We got a nice tip...

We went for a nice winter walk with family and enjoyed the woods and the scenery. The trails are quite nice, although without much snow so far this year, they were somewhat icy in spots. There is no entry fee during the off-season and the park was not at all crowded on a Sunday.

Over the last 40 years I've been to this park 3 times but never to camp so we decided to give it a try with our motorhome. The park is huge with almost 1200 acres. 3 separate camp areas are within the park some with electric some without. Our site in Pine Bluff had 50 amp service. None of the...

This was our second camping trip with a 3 year old and 6 year old and were very disappointed with this park. First, the lots in pine bluff were one on top of another and full of dirt, rocks and tree roots (no area for kids to play). We were given no information about hours of operation or anything available...

Visited Chenango Valley State Park today... €7 entry fee for a car (not per person), we based ourselves around the beach area which is located at the Southern end of Chenango lake. Well covered by several life guards with plenty to do for kids & adults of all ages. Boat hire available ($25 deposit and $5 per hour thereafter) and...

“Call and they will tell you what cabins are renovated, but they will all be updated soon. Most are private enough from neighbors.”

“We stayed at Pine Bluff for the electric hook-up. It worked well for us because it is a little higher up with a beautiful view of the pond. In the morning, I could sit in a chair with my coffee and book and look out over the water. On the other side of us was the famed Eagle's Nest Trail, with was a beautiful evening walk to enjoy the setting sun.”
