We stayed here for one night as my husband won a free stay. The room was clean, but the bathroom needs updating and bit shabby! The food was excellent, Mothers Day set menu with a good choice and reasonable priced! Breakfast was lovely, selection of cereal, fruit juice and coffee followed by a freshly cooked full English. The pub itself...

Another lovely evening courtesy of the staff! Four friends met up and all had a different meal each one cooked superbly and expediently. Lovely tasty food, generous portions and friendly but discreet staff all made for a most enjoyable experience. Thanks to all the staff. Shame that the reserved notice on our table for 4 was ignored by two other...

Visited with friends after buying a Groupon. The 'tea' was excellent value, we were looked after extremely well by Stefan who was pleasant and attentive throughout. We will certainly visit again, perhaps for dinner. My one 'criticism' Would be where we were seated, the pub was empty but we were put in a corner in a dark restaurant. It was...

First of all - yes the carpets are a bit threadbare and paintwork a bit tatty BUT it is so welcoming and the room I was in was very clean and had everything I needed. Had dinner there and it was fabulous and the staff so friendly. Breakfast was pretty good too! Well done to the owners.

An average rating feels a bit harsh as the people & the service were lovely, it's a charming little pub and the breakfast was fine - the bacon was tasty. The accomodation itself is a touch dated; our bed was fine and the shower was hot so it does work for an overnight stay. if you stick a towel in...

This was a Groupon gift from my sister for Christmas, so this week we decided to use. I thought I would have a look on TA to check the reviews to get an idea of what to expect. I must admit with a few negatives was not really looking forward to it, I was completely misled it was fantastic value...

Cheese & pickle sandwiches and ham & cheese sandwiches, crusts on, deep finger indentations where bread had been cut. I thought going out for afternoon tea was to be something special, something that we wouldn't have at home - obviously not. Cakes were bought-in mass produced, as were the scones. Jam presented in individual packs, surely this could have been...
