How to describe this "Bed and Breakfast"? Clearly this is a passion for Mark, the owner, who has created quite a unique place. My wife an I literally "rolled" up to the "Erie Mansion B&B - Historically Haunted" house (see photo) after a full day of cycling from Rochester. We stayed in the "Soft Erotica Room" - all red and... I think I can safely say , you've never stayed anywhere like this before. I know we hadn't. The owner, Mark has put a tremendous amount of work into restoring this historic old building, and filling it with an amazingly eclectic collection of weirdness. Maybe it's haunted...maybe it's not...but it sure is fun :)

This is not your typical B&B, it is a charming old building with very comfortable sleeping arrangements that are definitely decorated differently. Interesting and fun in a quirky way, adding to the ambiance to an "eerie" setting. Be prepared for different than the norm. We went prepared for a fun different experience and that is just what we had; our... More

A few years ago, a couple of friends and I went to the Renaissance Festival in Sterling, and made this place our home base in between festival days. It was one of the best decisions we ever made. (2014 is not the actual year we went, but unfortunately, the drop down menu doesn't go that far back.) Mark, the host,... More

My wife and I stayed here last summer while bicycle touring from Michigan to Maine and have been feeling guilty ever since about not writing a review. As the previous reviewer stated, the facility is very interesting, quiet, comfortable, and for us, one of a small number of highlights we always mention when asked about our wonderful travel adventure. Though... More

Mark Wright provided way more than expected with his hospitality! This is one of those places you experience in life that you can't forget or stop talking about. You have 4 suites to choose from and I chose the $100. choice (the red suite). I loved it. Each suite is definitely unique so don't be afraid to get all the... More

“Each suite is unique . The decor is unusual, not what you would expecti in a hotel - it adds to the scare factor.”
