Hotel options for the fall weekend were few and far between, and I booked the Countryside somewhat reluctantly. The room was small, but clean, and the Internet worked well. It is conveniently located. Beyond that, if you are accustomed to staying in mid-range hotels for just a few dollars more, I doubt you will be very happy with this. Although I admit the management was responsive to our complaints. There just shouldn't have been so much to complain about. I would not return unless there was no other option.

If you need an inexpensive place to stay in your travels... this is it. It looks a bit run down and could use some tender loving care along with an upgrade. The rooms are clean and fresh and comfortable. A good place for the night. It's just below Fishkill on route 9.

We were going to the Stormville Airport and did not want to spend a fortune on a hotel to just rest our heads and sleep. Countryside Motel was inexpensive but very basic. There are 2 buildings for this motel which we weren't aware of. The main building is where the office is located. There is a secondary building next door, these rooms are located on the second floor above the liquor store. If you are handicapped or have trouble with stairs do not stay in this second location. Ask for the main building where everything is at ground level. The hallway was well lit but there was a smell of stale cigarettes. There was no coffee pot or hair dryer. We were aware of this and brought our own. The room was clean, looked like it was painted recently. It was a queen bed that sat on a wooden platform (no boxspring) and it would creak any time you changed positions which was a little annoying. The bed was firm but comfortable. The sheets were soft, there needed to be more than 2 pillows on the queen size bed. I use 2 pillows at home just for myself. I should have gone to the office and asked for a second pillow but never did. There was a refrigerator and microwave. The one bad thing was that there were not enough plugs in the room. We needed to charge our phones and Ipads but there were only 2 available plugs. One open slot in the bathroom and one open slot with the refrigerator plug. Plus we brought our CPAP and had nowhere within reason to plug it in. Annoying! When we checked in they informed us that the water was not potable (Undrinkable). They gave us 2 bottles of water to brush our teeth with and informed us it was fine to use the water for a shower. That was a bit of a shocker! There was a public health notice taped to the bathroom mirror for a reminder. We didn't ask what that was about but there was construction being done on the road at that time maybe that contributed to the water problem. The bathroom was dated but clean. There was a vacuum sitting in the hallway when we arrived. But there was no making of the bed, cleaning of the room or new towels. As a matter of fact, there were only 2 towels in the entire bathroom. The vacuum sat in the hallway all weekend. If you wanted more towels or another pillow there was no phone in the room so you were unable to contact anyone in the office to get your items. You would have to walk or drive over to the main building and get it yourself. You are on a busy road. The 18 wheeler trucks are driving by all night and day. I suppose you just have to get use to it. There is one chair in the room which was ancient. So nowhere to sit but on the squeaky bed. The tv was fine and there were many channels to choose from. So we laid in bed and watched TV. The wifi was weak and didn't work very well for us. There was a larger town down the road that had restaurants, a Walmart and gas stations with easy access to the highway. All in all, it wasn't the worst motel I've ever stayed in. It was clean. I guess you get what you pay for.

The desk clerk argued with us right away about our reservations for 2 rooms....and the fact that we had already paid via Expedia. Finally in our rooms --- above the liquor store---- old outdated but basically clean. No bedbugs or such, cold a/c & hot shower.

Only place near cold spring that would accept our small dog. Suite was roomy with a full kitchen. Main problem was that the room and the furniture needed to be thoroughly cleaned. Only surface dusting appears to ever be done. Family run and people were friendly.

Great service and comfortable beds. What more could you wish for? Please strongly consider getting a rental car because it's tricky to get around without your own car in that area. Uber and Lyft services aren't provided there and taxi services are quite expensive ($20-25 for 10-15min rides).

Stayed here for one night, room was comforable and looked clean. No frills, no added-value features but the price is right. Two comments: the wifi signal was too poor to get anything done, this was the same with an iPhone 5 and iPhone 6. Owner suggested to change wifi network to the liquor store downstairs which made no difference at all. Complained the next morning but the owner seemed surprised (and didn't bother too much). The other thing is that the promo cards say in-room jaccuzi's, which is hilarious.

As others have said, if you are looking for a fancy entrance, little toiletries, or free breakfast, keep looking. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable room for the night, this is the place. We arrived and were greeted by a very nice man at the front desk. Got all checked in, and at first I was a little concerned about the road noise. By the time we went to sleep, that was not an issue - we got a great nights sleep. The most important for us is always cleanliness and comfort. We found both here. The beds were actually one of the most comfortable hotel beds we’ve ever come across. The motel is located near large shopping areas, so you can find whatever you might need just down the road. We definitely plan to stay there the next time we are in the area.

I had called around 9pm looking for a room. The man on the other line assured me i would get a room because it " wasn't a busy night". I wanted to make sure me and my family had a place to stay because we were coming from a long distance. First of all when i get there the man at the front desk is totally drunk! we had not realized at first but took our money and totally robbed us claiming he could not give us our money back. i would like to speak to an owner or manager about getting my money back ASAP because i did not stay in this establishment under the circumstances. IF NO answer is provided I will be contacting the police because this was a robbery and have proof.
