I finally had a chance to visit this island a few minutes away from Subic Bay Freeport Zone Central Business area and I really had a great time. I didn't know that there is such a relaxing island resort hidden here in Subic Bay. The sand is not as white and as fine as Boracay's but I honestly think that its 100 times better than that in Zambales and in Bataan. and much lighter in color too. remind you, Don't forget to bring your beach shoes coz some parts of the beach is rocky before getting into the crystal clear waters in the island. I think that this island is for people who wanted to get away from their busy city life and enjoy a secluded island experience with comfortable amenities without sacrificing the modern convenience of a cellphone and data. You can also dip in their pool or take a historical guided tour in the island if you felt like too much sand and sun is boring you. they have excellent food and customer service too. I would definitely come back again.

The Grande Island Resort is a great getaway for those who appreciate flora and fauna. The island is magnificently landscaped and boasts of over 30 centuries-old Acacia trees. The bonsai plants are amazing in form. Plus the island is rich in history about world war two.

After visiting this location, I was informed that they are closed for renovation. Both their day trips and the hotel on Grande Island are temporarily closed. The expected date for reopening is May or June of 2017. I visited this location on February 18, 2017.

spend a day tour here with my family. we enjoyed the great food and free banana boat ride and bike (we availed a promo package then) the area is so peaceful and quiet, however some of the areas seems to be left out. i also enjoyed the historical tour around the island however i did not reached the 4th phase because im already tired. (planning to comeback to finish this) the island has a lot of room for improvements and will definitely comeback

I have been in the place for our 2015 Company summer outing ans I must say the rooms are nice, the place is great as it is really huge! A very nice hide out from the everyday city life. The place is too big, but the mini "golf cars" I am not sure what those are called don't often drive around the resort making one wait for over 30 mins before he gets picked up if he wishes to go to the pool area etc. Since the are is too big and if your room is located at the far end side of the island then it will be impossible to walk all the way to the pool area or the central area of the area under the scorching heat of the sun. So you'd end up really waiting which is a waste of time. The cottages are located in the beach front which is perfect, you'll love the morning view, however please watch out for the baby jellyfish, there are millions and millions super tiny jellyfish to a point that we became scared of swimming. Over all, place is good!

I've been here 5years ago, and I can still remember how much I enjoyed this place. Going there is a great adventure, you have to ride a boat (or ship, or whatever you call it😂) to get to the Island. Once you get there, you'll start feeling relaxed. Breathing fresh air, seeing a magnificent view paired with delicious food. Everything was perfect. I want to go back to this place again and again!

The staff is just friendly and accommodating. I asked for an extra pillow and they gave it to me at no charge. :) I also asked for a bottle of water sent to me and the staff who helped was quick enough to my aid.

This is a place to chill :) the island is quite old and so as the facilities but the rooms are huge and welcoming especially in the beach side view. Soooooo relaxing 😊 Food is a bit pricey but I must say everything is so tasty! You can eat at their resto in the beach or via room service. Staff are accomodating and polite as well.

This is a nice place to escape reality. The amenities are not yet developed but it's worth the price. The staffs were great and my favorite part was the historical tour around the island. It's like walking in the morning while learning. What I hate is the food they serve. But I need to applaud the staffs! And yes, you should be careful when you go swimming in their beach during low tide.

friendly staff but everything is overpriced/ not worth d price... food is average but priced like a 5 star resto. nice location but d resort itself is not maintained, outdated and some delapidated.. somethings wrong with the drainage of our toilet/ broken shower door/stained glass. poor housekeeping, they will not bother change/clean ur room and will not replenish water in d room. no complimentary coffee or tea.
