Please be cautious! Especially families with children. Dangerous private beach(despite the net which they believe no sea creature can enter, apparently not), I got bitten by what they claim was a stone fish?? But no one really knows for sure. It could be a sea snake or another marine animal since I got a 4 row bite mark. Besides the instant pain I felt not knowing what actually happened to me beneath the water, I was also worried since I was holding my 2 year old son(who was also celebrating his birthday that exact same day) I was in so much pain, fortunately I was with my sister at the beach so I handed her my son before struggling my way back to the sand. given the benefit of the doubt that they have no idea this might happen to some of their guests, What was upsetting was the emergency response. It took too long since no staff nor life guard was at the beach that time. My husband had to look around before finding someone to assist us. I was already suffering from the excruciating pain before I was taken to the hospital, we had to cut our trip short because we can’t push through with our plans and I was so exhausted from all the pain and medication injected to me at the hospital I couldn’t walk properly for awhile because of my swollen foot. I was even vomiting a lot days after the incident. The hotel manager wasn’t on duty during our few days stay so we were not able to talk to him. We are extremely disappointed with how acea handled the situation since I got an email from the hotel operations manager saying that they would like to talk to us about the incident, but after responding to the said email hoping to feel or hear a little concern as part of their care for customers , up until now, I never got a reply. Probably the incident wasn’t a big deal Since we aren’t really celebrities or whatever, hoping we will all just fade into the background and go on with our lives, when I almost just lost mine on the day of my son’s birthday. Still giving 2 stars just to credit 2-3 employees who were genuinely concerned with our situation during our stay there and still thank you for the birthday greetings placed on our room. We really wanted it to be good since we’re busy people and we wanted to make most out of our trip for our only son. Our stay started off good until it wasn’t. We really had high hopes. So Sad and disappointed since we were really looking forward to this trip. I hope no one will ever have to experience the trauma our family went through. We’re just glad I’m still alive.

the other hotel was already fully booked, giving us heads up for their events, so instead i gave Acea a shot. thought it might be a great place to stay, and besides, i always wanted to try this hotel. we already ate at their lunch buffet before, without checking in, and that was many years ago, i actually cant remember if the food was any good. so this would be my first time checking in this 2022. was surprised reading some of the reviews, how terrible it was, but still gave it a chance, since my friend was only visiting for a week, and it will be many years again before she comes back. reading the reviews about the check out, giving extra charge by over staying made us really checked out on time, and i did confirmed that by asking the front desk staff when we first got there, though im sure the other 5 star hotel wouldn't mind a 30 mins delay as long as you called the front desk. i dont know how acea works, maybe lack of hotel MANAGEMENT training courses on how to really run a business? secondly, there wasnt even enough selection on their buffet. the food was not that even that good, (i just checked my files, soggy hotdogs) egg was alright, but not much selection out there) is this hotel on a budget? understandable about after the pandemic, and all. but the food, the juice selections? and its not a cheap resort,. at least put a fresh fruit juice on your breakfast course. im sure you have a blender somewhere. the beach was supposed to be exclusive for guest only, but they let rowdy local teenagers that i believe wasnt even checked in at the hotel, disrupted us other guest. cause we asked the life guards if they are a guest from the resort, and they told us, that they already warned them a lot of times even from yesterday, so does that mean, they arent a guest from the resort? but maybe someone that they knew who always come to their lil beach area? the life guard cant seem to to control any of them running around, screaming etc, and even disturbing 4 girls (as i recall, on their table) . another thing that i want to address is this one life guard making a whistle to whoever who is still swimming at the beach at 5 or was that 6pm? and it wasnt even dark yet . so i asked the life guard NICELY STILL whom i forgot to asked his name, why the hell i was the only one being called out by a fking whistle? when there are still people on the shore, and these bunch of unwanted local teenagers who i think were not even a guest from their exclusive hotel were even allowed at their beach area? (this life guard must feel like he is a coach or something, like a teacher at school , trying to embarrass a student, with their power tripping whistle tools from their special rehab facilities. the whistle is not really a bad thing, but should be used in the right place, and the right time, like for their jetsky calls, etc), its not like im still swimming, the water was just below my calves, cant i wash off some of the excessed sand of my feet? im not deaf, i could of had heard that whistle by warning the other guest who were there at that exact moment i was there , but their excuses were, they also called out others before me. but i dont really think so. im not sure if the life guard at the beach area are discriminating, but if they were, at least im already writing this down, (what a big joke) the pool is really dirty, do you guys even clean that? its 2022, supposedly the covid could have spread again? i also just recalled about the 2 or 3 hrs swimming policy on their murky pool guidelines, so, we paid a lot of money for this kind of resort for 1 night, while 5 star hotels in Manila is a bit cheaper like about 7k-9k up? and yours is about 12k with balcony to 11k plus or more. i also overheard from the front desk that night while talking to another guest on the phone, that asking for another complimentary water, could cost another extra charge. which im glad that i am already aware of. so, i always had to asked every time if there is a charge to everything that i do, because i dont want to be surprise on our way out for an extra charge. i guess they already had a clue that i was reading the reviews online. tho i did requested for the tomorrows complimentary water to be given to us that night instead, but not while hearing their conversation. they did gave us 4 complimentary water, upon delivering it to our room, but glad he told us its fine and there wouldnt be any extra charge. the staff was actually nice, but the rules of the hotel sucks for me. it seems like its a rehab honestly! their restaurants staff are also nice btw. they were ready to help out cause they dont have a can opener, (yes, they dont seem to have that equipment, they really tried to look for one). another thing is, as a smoker, at least put a near smoking floor outside your facilities, or an astray outside the room, is all we are asking for. the smoking area is really far, and again, there isnt a lift for disables. its just really stressful, its our choice to smoke, but dont take it all up on us smokers like we need to feel like we are in a rehab facilities! we are here to relax. or better yet, put a lot of cctv outside the smoking area floor. if they really are well educated enough, and can pay 12kplus a night, at least you know your guest might have breeding (if not all) that could pay for your hotel resort? and if they happen to throw it on your good grass which already has a sign that says no littering anywhere, but put the cigarette butt where it belongs, or you'll be fine 10k, then i think thats the time you can put extra charge to that guest. ashtray can be put outside the rooms of the smoking floor! i dont mean it should be inside the room, BUT OUTSIDE THE ROOM, SINCE ITS AN OPEN AIR! the designated smoking area at your car park is a hassle to be honest. we feel like this resort is REALLY A REHAB! that wants to feel like its a 5 star class hotel resort, but the reality, its not even anywhere close to that standard. its not like you are in a 5 star hotel around metro Manila that has clogged ventilators inside their hotels for you to be able to breathe. also, this resort is not really a disabled friendly place. expensive, yes, but no elevators going up to the rooms when it was made (the irony). same spacious room like their neighboring resorts, almost the same price, but the service sux, and the elevators for disabled? etc. etc. and the balcony is just a big no!... just read all my reviews from above. as expected, the reviews were true. good company will make the stay a bit more comfortable, but how can you really enjoy, and relax in a great place when you feel like you're in rehab?

Came here with my family for a 2 day stay due to other good reviews. Servers are so slow and very inflexible with our food order and can’t even satisfy the customers. They did not allow to have our help to swim even though they are checked in and even if we said we would pay extra. Front desk can’t make their own decision and rooms are dirty. My light bulb was not working and asked them to fix it but they never came after I called and waited. Super bad service considering what they are charging. I expected more . Not worth the stay and won’t be back

Booked an overnight stay with the family. The resort is relatively small but very well maintained. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food is ok. Not bad at all. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Subic for vacation.

We were booked in Acea from May 14-16 2022 with our family, a group of 20. Service at the front desk and checkout were poor - they overcharged us by requiring payment twice for an extra bed in the same room during check-in. This shouldn’t have happened since check-in is per room. Moreover, we were charged also at check-out when the hotel’s policy is payment upon check-in. Sadly, the overcharging happened to the senior citizens in our group. Acea should invest in a system that synchronizes these updates since the transaction happened at different counters. At the buffet, there was a lizard near the utensils (soup and bread area) and a cockroach near the dishes (egg and omelet station). Acea should improve their cleanliness. Wouldn’t recommend booking here unless they fix these issues.

The manager has a bad mouth and attitude toward the customers. Not really recommendable. They ruin the beautiful place and name of the Acea hotel. To the HR, your staff and manager needed the training , good attitude and CSR.

It was our second time in Acea with my 2 daughters and as always, they never disappoint. Check in was fast, room is well cleaned and maintained and particularly like their seaview rooms. Great addition is their bar by the pool where you can just chill out and have cocktails and enjoy the music. The renovations done on both pools are amazing! The beach is clean compared to resorts in Laiya and there's exclusivity in the area. Their restaurant serves great food choices and morning buffet selection is good. There is also an entertainment and videoke room if you want to spend some fun time with friends and family. The only minor con is the coffeeshop near the staircase. I wish they would be located somewhere more visible and open early (better sales for them since the restaurant opens at 6 or 7am) and what would complete the whole resort experience is having spa treatments. Overall, this is our go to beach place. Good job Acea! Special thanks to all the staff who are super accomodating and frontdesk Nicole and Lou!

The hotel was very impressive View was nice, breakfast buffet not much variety. But it was okay especially after 2 year hiatus of not eating breakfast buffet due to Covid… Game room was nice- you just have to prebook. Pool needs reservation also as they observe a 35 person only for 2 hours. Which is really a good practice. Here is the downside. Just right after breakfast we requested for late checkout., as we already came in late. The receptionist said they can extend until 1215 only. I said okay, better than none. We arrived at the room 1201. Quickly will shower then head to check out, but they said they cannot check out if there is still people inside the room, okay. Then upon arriving the room I received a call saying we are already late as it is system generated that they will charge already. I was shocked because when I requested for late checkout front desk personnel didn’t inform me about it, neither when I arrived around 1201 to check out the another front desk officer also didn’t inform me. I understand hotel is fully booked, but was is it to inform Client that they are strict with their checkout procedures. There was another client also complaining as they have 7 rooms and all room s are charged for that extra hour. How can you expect people to return?

Spent the holyweek here. In spite of it being fully booked, the hotel didnt feel crowded at all. The room is wonderful - sheets are crisp, shower strong and warm, AC very cold. Resort is well maintained and staff goes out of its way to help you especially if you have kids in tow.  Beach is kept clean, we never had problems looking for a free lounge chair. We love the food, and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet. I dont know why there are so many negative reviews about it. The selection is not as plenty but you can tell its quality over quantity. I love the beef tapa and the bistek, the salad spread, and the sinigang soup.  The food in the resto is on the pricey side but is pretty good.  Probably the only con thing is we asked for a first floor room as we had 2 strollers but the room at the first floor still had steps. Overall, we have a new favorite hotel and we will most likely return.

Staffs are not well trained, they don't know what to do.Smelly cutleries and glasses. They even serve chipped glasses. Nice place but very poor services, unproper sanitation of cutleries and glasses. The restaurant should be ashamed of his team. Nice view but services are terrible. For food, already precooked, fries, lengua are terribly cold, the beef salpicao salty, the truffle mushroom was tasteless, flavorless. You can only offer the view of your place but not your services or reataurant.
