The Clipper Race crew, support staff and maintenance team, that’s 200 plus people were held in quarantine within the marina. The hotel staff, Barry the marina manager and his team did everything they could to support our unexpected stay. I cannot fault their care and kindness. Thank you all for looking after us. Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all again in January 2021.
At long last, we have stayed here for my birthday celebration with my family. From check in, the front desk staff asked us to wait until 2pm since they said that’s the standard time. We waited downstairs because there are no seats at the lobby. Nobody approached us at 2pm so i reminded them that we are waiting. I noticed that front staff people were lack of training. They don’t smile that much and not welcoming. Elevator platform at the 4th floor is not even so a lot of guests got stumbled and its dangerous because there are no warning sign. Our room is great. Cozy, clean and spacious. The veranda is boring. No tables and chairs and towel rack for wet clothes. What i like most is the bathroom! Very spacious and neat as well. I love the jacuzzi that can fit up to two people. The only problem is the bathroom door. Its very old and need to be updated. You can peak from the outside so there’s no privacy for people using the toilet. Room amenities has coffemaker, and safebox. Television channels are a little bit blurry. When I requested for a pitcher of water, i have to follow up for 4 times. Swimming pool is huge and nice. The slide for kids is not slippery so its a waste of time using that. I love the sand and the pool which you can feel like youre in a beach. The problem that time was they have an event so there were no beachbeds set up that time and there’s no staff assisting guests who’s gonna swim. I have to look for people to ask for a towel. The buffet breakfast has a lot of choices. We enjoyed the food especially the kids. The view of the yachts are instagrammable. What I noticed from the first time i set my foot on the resort are the staffs. They should be train how to properly do their job. Some they do but mostly not. For a room that is so expensive, the expectation is very high and i never meet those expectation. The place is very promising but the downside is the service. …
Pleasant but overpriced place to stay if you happen to be into boats or yachting. Rooms facing the marina have a great view but they have very loud parties in front of the marina that are a real disturbance to room guests facing the marina. Beware.
A refreshing weekend break was what we wanted as a family. As we have already tried the regular rooms of the Subic Bay Yacht Club before, we decided to try the Presidential Suite which we were all curious about for some time. Here are the exciting pluses - * space, space space! - 2 verandas, 180 degree view * majestic view of the sea and boats * no less than 3 jacuzzis - with one outdoor However there are likewise a few little less-than-wonderful observations- * the suite needs better thorough cleaning * an upgrade of furniture might be in order * the toiletries and other amenities were the same as in the regular rooms The 4 ft pool is a relaxing experience, with its lovely design that is like the beach. Overall however the kids enjoyed the memorable stay.
Stayed here for 2 nights for an office event. The place is very nostalgic to the old subic bay era. The rooms are huge with old classic interiors. Food and service is good. There just a lot of construction going on to update the hotel. Looking forward to see al the new upgrades in the future
Spent a night here and it was quite the experience. I've never had a hotel experience that fluctuated so much in terms of quality, but overall I got the relaxation I sorely needed thanks to this place. Pros: -It's fairly close and easily accessible from Manila, only a 1.5 hour drive. -There are a lot of promos/discounted rates so we paid much cheaper for a room that (in our opinion) would normally be much more expensive considering the quality -The lagoon is well-maintained and spacious. We stayed in the pool for hours. -The room we got is magnificent, complete with a jacuzzi tub (with actual hot water!) and a sonic shower. The bathroom is one of the nicest I've ever seen, complete with gold and marble furnishings. -The view of the marina bay is wonderful and you get to fall asleep to the faint sounds of waves splashing against the yachts docked there. -Food is good enough; their crispy pata and halo-halo were delicious, and very well-priced for hotel! Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety. I loved the cinammon french toast in particular. -Staff were courteous. Cons: -Like everyone else, I have to bring up the renovations. Apparently they've been renovating for a long time now, because there was still a lot of construction ongoing and their temporary "lobby" is tiny. A lot of the main hotel is blocked off with sheets and tarpaulins giving out a haunted vibe. -The building itself is showing signs of wear and tear, with paint chipping off of the facade (which strangely enough, is one area they're not currently renovating for some reason). -It's clear there's some mismanagement going on because subic bay yacht club used to be the one place you went to subic for, a haven for the elites. And yet now, despite being there on a holiday it was practically deserted. The restaurant was empty when we had dinner, and we barely saw other people around. I suppose if you enjoy privacy you will appreciate having the entire place to yourself.…
MUST READ THIS BEFORE YOU RESERVE YOUR ROOM IN THIS HOTEL. After we checked in and entered our room, the first thing we noticed was a torn bed skirt not only one side but all over. There's a lot of stain on the carpet (see photos attached) also stain on the wall. They plug a hole next to the ceiling but not totally sealed. the whole room is totally dusty every corner and looks like a mold below the vent with nail hole on the wall. I told them I have an allergy of dust mite and demanded to give us another room but was told to wait. So I waited for 45 minutes to see if there's available room but never got back to me and I had to call the front desk only to find out there was none available. If I didn't call I would have waited for longer time. All of the lobby on the 3rd floor where we stayed were sealed with plastic which made the lobby even more hotter on top of the humidity outside. The hotel is under renovation and I completely understand that buy they should have not rented the rooms that are under renovation like our room at #320 which is very dirty, dusty and health hazard. Now I am suffering from a bad allergy reaction up to this time. I ALREADY CONTACTED THE DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM BECAUSE I FEEL THAT THIS HAS TO STOP. IT IS A HEALTH HAZARD. NOT ONLY THAT, TOWELS THAT WAS PROVIDED WERE BROWNIES COLOR (THEY WERE NOT BROWN COLOR, THEY WERE WHITE). BY THE WAY I'M REFERRING TO ROOM #320 WHERE WE STAYED FROM 6/7-6/12. THEN COMES CHECKED OUT TIME, WE HAVE ALREADY PAID THE DAY PRIOR BUT ON THE CHECKED OUT TIME THE CLERK WAS ASKING US TO PAY AGAIN. NOT ONLY ONCE BUT TWICE BECAUSE WE PAID FOR ANOTHER ROOM ALSO FOR OUR GUEST AND THEY WERE ASKED ALSO TO PAY AGAIN. WE STAYED IN THAT OFFICE FROM 5:30AM- TO 6:45AM JUST TO CHECK OUT. NEVER AGAIN I WOULD STAY THERE OR RECOMMEND SOMEBODY TO CHECK IN THAT HOTEL. VERY BAD MANAGEMENT I THINK. I AM NOT FINISH YET, THE FOOD FOR BREAKFAST WERE NOT PRESENTABLE EITHER. FOOD IS COLD, NEEDS WARMER, THEY SLICED THEIR FRUITS INTO VERY SMALL PORTION TO ACCOMMODATE EVERYBODY FOR $10.…
have been going to this place since late 1990s but the property is under renovation right now - a good thing to watch out when it is finished. rooms are quite enormous for the current price. a stroll along the walk way (where the boats are docked) is always a pleasant site. 90% of the swimming pool still works and the lure of it is unavoidable. billiards, bowling and darts are quite inviting together with the in-house gym. there is also a basketball court, badminton or tennis courts available. the staff are quite friendly, accommodating, and always on the look out how to please their guests... the food is generally ok and the F&B folks are as jolly and attentive as they can be... there is a simbang gabi mass every 630PM and YES - you can also have the puto-bumbong and bibingka to go with it... a special treat for the kids and whole family... the T&B is always breath-taking being a room on its own and marbled (haven't tried the in-room jacuzzi for a long time though but am sure it still works). multiple shower heads and complete amenities is always a treat for the sore body... the nostalgia is to die for! my room was not affected by the renovation - only had to re-route the entrance & exit but it gives you a tour or so of the huge swimming pool. we occupied 3 rooms for 2 nights and every second was worth it - makes you think twice about leaving the comfort of the room... location is right smack in the middle of everything!…
There is an ongoing renovation with hotel lobby and other facilities unavailable. In my room the main light was not working, no wifi connection, the safe was out of power as well as no hot water ....... hmmmm ....... the staff openly told me that they can't change anything. Also in the restaurant / breakfast area is no wifi installed.
I was quite impressed of the place. The view, but i think they need to have renovation because it looks old. Their bathrooms looks 1900s, also their equipments. Their pool is wide, the kids will surely love it. But all in all its fine.
