We chose the Corona because it was close to the airport, had free parking and free Wi-Fi and was one of the less over-priced hotels in the area. For a short stay it was okay. If I had to describe it in one word I'd probably call it seedy. Reception gave the impression that they were bored with their job...

The hotel was ok, except the funny smell in the room every time we entered. The location is bad (Queens), poor neighborhood, which we knew, so no surprise there. Service was good. Close to a subway station.

Here's a perfect example that "not everything on the Internet is true". Booked this hotel through Booking.com based on photos and reviews. Flew into NY from Europe, arrived at the hotel around 12:30am and checked out at 7:00am this morning. Rooms smelled of gas, rap music and loud partying until 4am, what appeared to be blood stains on business partners...

This hotel has nothing exceptional, just a place to sleep. CONS: **Indian girl at reception needs a crash course on customer service and speaking to travelers. She is not a true representation of this hotel. **Breakfast is just that , something to keep you up until you visit a café or deli for something suited to your palate. **Passing no.7...

The hotel itself is not so bad, but it is really close to thee train, which is REALLY noisy. In case you have to go, ask for a room looking to the rear part. Location: close to airport, in Queens. Beds comfortable. Breakfast: really bad.

The hotel itself is great.large enough rooms that were really clean. The front desk was so helpful in helping us with the subway. We actually made it to the Bronx without getting lost. The parking was not extra as most are. We always stay here when in New York. The subway is a half block from the hotel and will...

This hotel is a shock considering the neighborhood leaves something to be desired. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The rooms are cozy and yet a little small. Overall a great price and beautiful rooms.

Corona Hotel is great budget option with a super convenient location. They offer free shuttle service from La Guardia. They contract with a private company so each guest gets picked up individually. We called when we arrived and a Town Car came within 5 minutes to pick us up. Metro stop for #7 is 3 block away, super convenient! Interior...

Those who consider that area "unsafe", are exaggerating and haven't seen anything in life. There was nothing unsafe in that area.Me [5 ft 4] and my girlfriend [5"ft], not exactly big buffed, walked at night with our shopping bags and did not feel unsafe for one minute. The hotel is located in a residential area with a lot of South...

This place is not located in a good neighborhood and the noisy train runs right past, so if you are a light sleeper you better bring your earplugs. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for families with children. The rooms are clean and spacious and the linen and towels are of decent quality. The airport shuttle took 25 mins to pick...
