Well we were taken here for a meal by my outlaws and I now know why they talk about it so much, what an absolute gem!! The selection is mouth watering and the food is delightful I had mussels starter which are definitely up with the best I've had and I love mussels, for mains beef escalopes wrapped in smoked...

I had Sunday lunch here with my family on Mother's Day and what a wonderful experience it was. Not only was the food and pudding superb - the best I've had - but the service from Mark (the landlord, who bent over backwards to please us) and his brilliantly attentive staff was second to non, despite it being one of...

We returned here for the second time and it is just as good as the first visit. This time we stayed in one of the comfortable but a bit pricey rooms. The food cooked by the owner Mark is extremely well cooked with a very extensive menu and concentrating on seafood but excellent meat dishes too. Great atmosphere in the...

Whilst staying in the village for a few days we visited the Postgate on several occasions. Excellent tasty food at reasonable prices, not the usual run of the mill pub food, good service and a very friendly and warm welcome from staff, particularly the Landlord. Definitely recommend this pub and will certainly visit again.

This pub was a great find for lunch. We visited here whilst driving around the Moors, and had an amazing lunch. The food is incredible and the atmosphere was great, such a welcoming place. We would happily eat here again!

A great pub which has accommodation, is a restaurant and serves excellent food in the bar where dogs are welcome. Mark the owner/chef is a lovely character and makes really delicious food. The menu is extensive offering a balanced selection of freshly cooked food. Would heartily recommend you pop in and give it a try.

We stopped here for sunday lunch in the middle of our 5 mile walk. Me, my husband, 7 month old baby and our black lab were all made to feel very welcome. Beef dinner was delicious with beautiful veg!! Good beer and friendly service.

We stopped here for Sunday lunch about halfway through a 5-mile walk starting in Glaisdale. They had only just started lunch service. There were a lot of interesting sounding specials on the board but we just ordered from the bar menu. Sadly, they didn't have any frying fish available so we settled for scampi and chips. My sons had bangers...

This was return visit for lunch after discovering the inn during a visit to the area last year. A little disappointed to find that the Timothy Tailor beer we enjoyed last year was no longer on offer but the food was excellent and the staff just as welcoming. The only criticism is the state of the ladies room which needed...
