What a great recommendation by our b&b. There is a huge blackboard menu to choose from and the place is very inviting and cosy. We had a scallop dish and prawn cocktail to start both really tasty and then steaks, cooked to perfection for our mains, gorgeous onion rings too. Never made it to dessert. Will certainly being going back...

Very friendly, accommodating staff. The food is of the very best quality and there is a good selection of local beers, too. We visited at Christmas and the atmosphere was lovely. Dogs are welcome too.

We went to the postgate for a family meal, we got a warm welcome initially but service was not great, the menu is on black boards in the middle of the pub which causes congestion, we were told someone would come over and take our order in a few minutes , which turned into 25 minutes. My meal and my...

I've never stayed at the Postgate Inn but have visited frequently for a drink or lunch for many years. The food is excellent and the beer is well kept. It's a typical Yorkshire country pub, full of atmosphere, an ideal stopping off point for anyone touring the moors

We came off the Moors after a bit of hiking on a cold raw day. Stumbled on this award-winning pub and decided to eat. A very good call! The lamb medallions with mint mashed potatoes were melt-in-your-mouth perfect. The Ploughman's Platter was divine with local cheeses and homemade chutney and relish and the best picked onions my hubby ever tasted!...

Went to the Postgate Egton Bridge after a frosty response at the Wheatsheaf in Egton and how pleased we did. The locals spoke to us, the Landlord joked with us and the Food was excellent., End result went 3 nights on the bounce. November not the time to sit outside but there is plenty of space if your a summer...

We had not been to the Postgate Inn for some time. It was like going back to an old friend. We had booked and received a very warm welcome on arrival . We had driven out from Whitby and glad we did. Friendly and professional team running front of house and a traditional sunday lunch of roast beef that ticked...
