I have stayed at the courtyard twice now, as my little boy loves aeroplanes, staying in hotels, traveling and Inverness especially Loch Ness as he thinks Nessie lives there. First visit upon arrival the receptionist asked if we wanted to book dinner for that night, my husband said he would think about it and the women said “I would be quick as it fills up quickly” I think priority should be given to guests staying at the airport but my husband did explain to me not to expect too much mannerism from the staff at a fair priced hotel. After we got to our room the fire alarm went off and we weren’t sure if it was a hoax or real, it turned out it was real and we waited outside in the middle of February for two fire engines to arrive. Not one member of staff explained what was happening again I think this is very poor and if someone was ignorant enough to set off the fire alarm they should of been charged. Breakfast was really nice the both times I have stayed. I came back in April and on the booking I asked for a room over looking the airport for my little boy ( the whole reason we choose the hotel) we were given a room on the other side. The carpets need a good clean in the hotel and this should be done often, the beds are very comfortable and I have bought the pillows they use, I enjoy staying because the rooms are soundproof and I have noise sensitivity and have no issues with noise from other rooms. The biggest downside is the lack of care from the staff and they need to be more attentive to your preferences.…
Mid Aug break. Good value hotel that is close to Inverness. Very clean room and decent breakfast where the team were happy to help and clear up. Fried eggs by request soft and tasty. Sometimes the items in the help yourself buffet can look a little "tired" if late, but regular refresh of the selection means patience is worth having - plenty of croissants and muffins to snack on or toast. Fruit was limited option. Good stay in a pleasant and quiet room on the 3rd floor - even though we had the last room overlooking the runway not much airplane noise.
The hotel was reasonably clean as hotels go, but grout was filthy in the shower and corners of the caulked shower were moldy and dirty. Hairs on bathroom floor that were not mine upon arrival. Toiletries provided were only large enough for one single use, yet there were two of us in each of the two rooms we reserved for our family. Upon check in we were informed that there was a breakfast buffet in the mornings. No mention of price. On the info sheet provided at check in, the buffet (largely cold cereals, yogurt, toast with a couple of hot items) was again mentioned with no comment as to charge. The next morning, our family of four went to the buffet. I had a small bowl of cold cereal and a tiny glass of juice. The buffet was not as nice as the complimentary one at Holiday Inn Express the previous nights on our trip. Again, zero signage as to any charge for the food. An employee came by one time and asked us our room numbers. I assumed this was to ensure we were actual guests. When I checked out of the hotel 30 minutes later, I received a charge of nearly $20 PER PERSON for the breakfast, which again was subpar compared to Holiday Inn Express.…
The only hotel near airport! Stayed here during my business trip. I'm always concerned about sleep quality with airport hotels but here, the quality of specification in room design and materials meant no traffic or aeroplane noise whatsoever. I had great night sleep during my 20 nights stay. But to top it off was the fantastic service from Sadie, Danielle, Bethan, Anna at the all day dining restaurant and bar. Food was 3.5*/5*. It was obvious that few F&B service team members were pretty new, as I could see the struggle. After spending 12 years as a hotelier, I must say it’s a very good hotel.
Hi, I arrived at this Marriott and 1) the restaurant was full and was pushed to have dinner at the bar, 2) I was told that there is a parking fine if unloading the car takes more than 20 min, with unsympathetic front staff, Not a great way to start a stay.
I recently stayed at the Marriott at Inverness Airport on arriving the hotel looked stunning. We arrived at the reception after parking car where we were greeted and welcomed. Very smooth transaction and we’re in our rooms. I travelled there with my two sisters and brother for family reasons. The rooms were spotlessly clean, very roomy nice comfortable bed with tea coffee etc and water in the small fridge in the room. We were also greeted by the General Manager Mrs Ina Davies who could have done more for us to make our stay a pleasant as possible. We had few drinks in bar before retiring for the night. Very comfortable sleep. In the morning we were greeted for our breakfast which was a buffet and had everything you would want. Our overall stay was amazing and very comfortable, all the staff from our arrival till our departure were terrific. Especially the breakfast staff who were so accommodating A big thanks, I would certainly recommend staying here. It’s a very well run establishment I will certainly return…
After a terrible experience at another hotel, we quickly booked for 2 nights here. Hotel is very new (2020). Service staff is ample but like most hotels they’re in the process of being trained up. Rooms are very comfortable and well-equipped. Don’t let the airport location scare you as there are only a couple flights per day. Would make it a point to stay here again.
Hotel was ok but we had a few issues. When we arrived the extra bed was a mess. We also received some dirty towels, even with holes. Breakfast was nice but limited. Even though hotel was near airport it was quiet during night. The extra bed was hard, might as well sleep on the floor.
Stayed for two nights at this quite new hotel. Great location, being so, so close to the airport. Achieves pleasant style with plenty of well thought out functionality. The bedrooms are well equipped. One of us had a slight gripe about the lack of flexibility in manoeuvring the shower handle and head. The restaurant had the expected fare but also had so much more. Our choices were well executed, presented and served - oh, and the food tastes good too Finally, credit to the keen, helpful staff
Let's start by saying I expect a (lying) reply from the hotel to my review, but before just believing the hotel, why don't you also take a look at all the other 1 and 2 star reviews here by people from all over the world. They all say the SAME thing I experienced. No management, NO responsibility, a bar and housekeeping that are a mess, no respect for any customer and no recognition for Gold/Plat members. So it's not just me. If they spent lest time spinning the bad but truthful reviews on here and more time growing up, they may not get so many poor reviews. Besides housekeeping forgetting to properly turn the room by leaving an unclean bathroom from the previous guest and all toiletries missing, the larger issue was the bar and restaurant as well as the upper management. Besides saying they had no time to continue serving me food half way through my meal because a large party arrived, when being forced to sign my restaurant invoice a drunk over-served customer at the bar started cursing at me and wanted to start a physical fight. The incompetent staff of buffoons at this hotel did NOTHING. So I was on my own to calm him down and defend myself. When I followed up with management via email the next day they said in writing to me that they aren't responsible for other people & we are all adults and assume the risk. That legally negligent statement from someone in management says all you need to know about this hotel. Please take the time to filter & read other 1 star reviews…
