Detailed Reviews
My wife and I spent a few days at this campground with our two great grandchildren and after spending more years than I like to remember, found this campground suited perfectly for the kids, and us. ,The owners are very friendly and helpful. If you have done a lot of camping I'm sure that you would welcome large grassy sites. The campground is fairly new with growing continuing. They have many types of animals, chickens, ducks, a couple of ponys, pig, etc... The kids loved them..Campers have use of the pool in front of the motel that they own. Rates are very reasonable. I should mention that the sites were very clean. There is water and electric at most sites. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Nice old world charm, in a country atmosphere. The rooms are clean and cozy. There is a large tent covered picnic area, surrounded by an acre of grass. Great for our dog. I’ve been there a few times over the last few years. The owners and staff are amazing people. The town of East Durham is a very nice town, with quite a few Irish taverns, great food and even a resort that has great live bands.

I have stayed here over 20 yrs. the rooms are nice n clean. My family n friends also come here. We always have a good time. Pool, bar b queing n my grandkids love feeding the animals. Especially Eddie n coco the ponies. Michelle n bobby go out of there way to make you feel welcome n will do anything for you to make your stay comfortable. I learned over the years you can't please everyone. I would recommend this place to everyone Whoever took picture of pool that was at the end of season n ready to close. The pool looks nothing like that. I was just in it last week n going back again.

It was a pleasure to deal with the owner. I inquired the night before about ice machine and there isn't one available so she made me some in her private freezer. The rooms are dated but very clean. It was a great place to stay .

As the first trailer at the campsite, I thought it time to write a review!
I love coming here. Michele & Bob are always very welcoming and can't do enough for you. They often have great barbecues and treat you as a member of the family.
It's great, too, when you want time to read or write or just be on your own.

This is a great motel with refrigerators in the rooms, coffee pots and even campgrounds for trailers or tents. Beautiful in ground pool, mini petting zoo for kids . Barbecue grills and party tents for barbecues ..the owners, Bob and Michelle will bend over backwards to make your stay as enjoyable as they can.

We simply wanted a room to stay in overnight for Mtn Jam. The place looks abandoned from the road; tall weeds, lots of old mowers and lawn clutter. Upon arrival, the host sensed that we would not like the room before we even saw it. As stated elsewhere, rotted, sagging, sloped floor, mildew odor, very old, unplugged appliances, unusable deck. Host gave us the same excuses that she gave to the unfortunate guest in 2014, "This is the Catskills" SO? The host then offered their new cabin at the same rate. Perfect! We saw it, paid for it, signed the papers in their equally disorganized office, and left with the key. About an hour later we get a text. "Sorry we are cancelling your reservation..." WHAT???? Isn't that an agreement? We give you money and sign the paperwork and you give us the key. We're staying here! Not an agreement to them. Luckily we found a room at a better hotel even closer to our destination. So, the hotel is simply horrible and the Host is far from professional. Got a good laugh from her website stating that "people will recommend this place to their friends". The key is on my wall as a reminder to read reviews before booking hotels. FYI: We reserved through airbnb. Fortunately, airbnb was professional and followed up after this disaster. Looks like they are trying airbnb to rent this place as no reputable hotel site will deal with them.

Having stayed here on multiple occasion in the motel my wife and I decided to get a camper. Haven’t looked back. It’s so friendly and family orientated. Our friendly and well behaved dog Gus loves it as well. The owners have become good friends of ours and we look forward to seeing them.
It’s become a favorite place of ours.

Just returned home from a lovely weekend at Michael Dee's Country Campground. It's my third visit to this gem in the Catskills! Very peaceful setting! Sites were spacious and well maintained. The farm animals were a treat! Always bring apples to feed the miniature horse! Beautiful weather to sit and enjoy the crystal clear pool!!! Large field for games and sports. The owners, Michelle and Bob go out of their way to make your stay pleasant.
Music and Lights under the big tent was enjoyable. Met a lot of new people. Discussed some of the negative reviews I read about. Everyone I talked to were repeat guests and say they will continue to return ! I personally inspected 2 rooms. Both were clean, tidy and smelled fine! These rooms weren't polished marble and mirrors as in a towering hotel building but they are quite acceptable !
Personally, I've returned home feeling refreshed and very happy with the service I received !

floor near sliding rear doors and front door rotted and soft. Small balcony rotted so badly you could see through the holes in it (unusable). Website advertised frig, coffeemaker and microwave, they were piled on the floor on top of each other, unplugged. TV did not work. Nuff said? Owner explained in this area you get nothing fancy. Do to local music festival in the area no other rooms available nearby, we had to tough it out. We already spent hundreds on tickets to show.
