Detailed Reviews
Upon arrival we found you could only enter the property from one direction...this would have been a bit confusing had it been after dark.
Check in went smoothly even though we had to wait for the desk clerk to come inside.
Our room was what we expected from a Hampton Inn. It was clean but we were not a fan of the sliding barn door shared by the bathroom and the closet. Also the light for the bathroom was a sensor so when getting up during the night you are accosted by a bright light. Totally unnecessary as there was low lighting on already.
There was no bar soap at the sink. The only soap available was the liquid soap in the container in shower which was attached to the wall. Not convenient when washing hands.
Breakfast in the morning was adequate but had to ask for yogurt as the bowl for the containers was empty except for ice.
At checkout I normally get a receipt but after seeing someone stand for over 5 minutes waiting for a desk clerk, I opted to just deposit the keycard in the receptacle provided and leave.
Note : there was a sign that the hotel was operated independently

Hotel's Favourite
Pros: Clean and comfortable rooms, quiet location, solid breakfast.
Cons: Staff could have been a little more communicative.
This is one of those hotels I wish I could find in other places when needing accommodations for more than just one night. My spacious king bed room was clean, modern, and functional with a large work desk and chair for lounging and watching television (I hate having to watch TV while laying in bed). I didn't hear any noise, either in the hallways or outside the building- the latter thanks to its secluded location. There didn't seem to be much in the immediate area, although as I said in another review, good food and drink can be had in Albany, which is a short 10-minute drive from the hotel.
My only complaint is front desk staff that could have shared a little more upon check-in, such as login information for the in-room wi-fi and information about the free breakfast (which I more or less stumbled upon the following morning). My advice is to ask questions upon checking in, because the front desk staff might know something you'll want to know.
When in the area again, I'll definitely return. I'm always a fan of stress-free lodging.

We found ourselves in this new area for us and when we needed a hotel we looked at other less expensive places and didn’t like what we read in their reviews. Then we found our standby chain, Hampton. A little more expensive but very reliable. Our two queen room was very nice and very clean.
All the staff we interacted with were very nice and helpful.
Breakfast was very nice and the food area was kept very clean with lots of selection of the standard hotel breakfast foods.
If we find ourselves in this area again we will very likely stay here again.

1 . Receptionìst was friendly but didn't give us our usual free bottle of water.
2. Room was very clean.
3. TV was useless. The voÄşume was so low that we could not hear it. The remote would allow us to change channels but would not allow us to alter the volume. Has the hotel set the volume so no one can change it ?
4. Beds were comfy but squeaked LOUDLY every time we moved.
5. The noise from the rooms above was terrible. This hotel appears to be fairly new so why didn't they put soundproofing in it ?
6. Breakfast is a joke. It's allegedly served until 10am. We arrived at 08:58am and there was almost nothing left. The lady supposed to be providing breakfast even had a tip jar - expecting tips when she was clearly too lazy to keep the food available. Worst breakfast I've experienced in a Hilton.

We haven't been to this location for a few years because it was usually more points than some other Hampton Inns in the Albany area. I am very happy that we returned to this location and will only return to this location when we are in the Albany area. Crystal the manager is fantastic. She had individually wrapped chocolates out for guests. Even when she doubled as the front desk person and the breakfast kitchen person, she did it with a smile and took care of everyone's needs. When it was busy, she took the time to talk with guests and to get to know them.

We stayed at this Hampton as a break on our way from Toronto to Maine. Convenient from the interstate. We had big clean king suite at an affordable price that allowed us to eat in with our family as we were exhausted (Golden Grain pizza highly recommended). Nice little pool for a quick dip, great patio where we saw other families gathering for a drink and dinner. Very friendly staff. Will stay there next time we are heading through!

Our third year staying here on our way to our annual Maine vacation. Easy check in, beds are comfortable. Figuring out how to use the TV was a bit of a challenge for us. Breakfast had multiple selections and they even had “to go” bags for those not wanting a hot breakfast. And cookies in the evening.

We (3 couples) stopped at this Hampton Inn on our way to Maine. As some have mentioned, it is a little difficult to find the entrance, especially in the dark. The building and the rooms were spotless. The rooms were comfortable. The beds were comfortable. The cookies were a great treat, especially since we arrived late at night and were starving. The motel is located in a nice area near several restaurants. The complimentary breakfast is much nicer than the usual motel breakfast. The staff was nice, although they are apparently understaffed (like everyplace else) because the desk clerk was often absent from the desk. We will definitely stop here on our next trip to Maine. I thought the price was a little high when I booked, but it was worth it.

We stayed here to visit friends in the area in early July. The hotel was extremely clean, and they did their best to provide high quality service despite the current pandemic restrictions. We were able to use the Hilton mobile app to pick a room and for our room key, saving us from needing to check in at the front desk. Breakfasts were grab-and-go, and the only available coffee is in the room. Maid service is not provided for stays shorter than 7 days, but they had plenty of extra towels and supplies at the front desk. Service was friendly. Room had plenty of space, a nice large TV, and comfortable beds. Free Wi-Fi worked well. No complaints, we'd stay here again.

Pros: Brand-new hotel, nice room, cool AC.
Cons: aside from the bigger issue of the trip, the tv doesn’t have a guide and the coffee maker is hard to use.
The big issue of the trip: we were in the area for a wedding and we had arrived at the hotel around 6. The day before, I wasn’t able to choose my room which usually signals a problem, but I didn’t think about it until the front desk attendant came out. I told her I was checking in, and she immediately went into an issue. She was saying how there was a “maintenance issue” and most people weren’t able to be checked in. Note: she has not asked me my name yet. She started to look through some papers on the desk when I told her I already checked in online. She asked if I had a room number, which I did not yet. Finally she asked for my name, after my wife and I were already fairly panicked. She confirmed we did have a room but while getting our keys, she then started to deal with the gentleman behind us. So before we were dealt with she started to panic the guy behind us. This was a very unprofessional and a terrifying situation. I had even asked her if the hotel was calling guests effected and she said “I just got this handed to me but I doubt they did.” Also as a Hilton member, I was never given water or even thanked for returning. Very different from most Hilton properties I’ve stayed at.
Covid note: the staff was also not wearing masks. I’m unsure on the particular regulations for the Albany area but this was very different than anywhere in New York.
If you ever find yourself in the Albany area, I would avoid this hotel. Your stay could be turned upside down for a unknown maintenance issue and you won’t find out until you are standing at the desk with your luggage. Plus, it’s never a good feeling when you achieve a gold or diamond level Hilton account just to be treated like you can’t even stay at the hotel.

The hotel has 2 entrances. One is off of Rt. 4 and the other one is off of Temple Lane which is off of Rt. 151
I have only stayed in a single room, so I can't answer questions about suites. You'll have to ask the hotel staff.
Hi! There are absolutely hairdryers in each room. There is also a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker in every room, as well.
It is about 40 miles to Hudson. You will actually pass Hudson on the way to the hotel.
Hi Mary, unfortunately we do not accept any pets that are not service animals.
