We have enjoyed everything about this 6 room hotel. Our room and bath are beautiful. Breakfast and dinner have been fabulous. The staff is outstanding. Randy the Inn Keeper is so knowledgeable and helpful. She really made our time in the Hamptons extraordinary! This has been a five star experience.

Our stay at The 1770 House was beyond wonderful. We had the greatest time celebrating our 10th anniversary. The innkeeper Randy was warm and welcoming. Each morning during our stay, we had a delicious hot complimentary breakfast. The room was rustic and warm, with both charming elements (wood beams and fireplace) and modern (luxurious king size bed and flat screen...

It's quite unwelcoming to arrive at a mostly empty restaurant and almost be turned away for being late (20 minutes) for a reservation (which they incorrectly recorded for a time 15 minutes earlier than what we requested). Did it matter? The two women at the reception desk hemmed and hawed, looked uncomfortable, said they probably couldn't seat us, and finally...

My husband and I went to 1770 House for dinner for his birthday while we were visiting Montauk. We went on a Sat night. You definitely want to make a reservation as it is a small space and can get quite busy on the weekends. Simply put, we had a sublime experience! I loved everything: the decor, the food, and...

The 1770 House is the ideal place for a couple to stay in The Hamptons. It is centrally located. The house and gardens are charming and tranquil. The food at the restaurant is superb. What made our magnificent stay so unforgettable was the welcome and warmth we received from the host Randye. She provided invaluable advice to us about great...

We had a perfect meal at their 1770 house. We ate the rack of lamb in the basement which was absolutely charming. We could have shared the main course as it was so large. Done to perfection. The service was excellent. Have and look through the hotel and upstairs rep stress as well as it is memorable.

There are few words to describe how exceptional the 1770 house is. This is our third time staying at the inn. I guess you can call us regulars . The cuisine , the accommodations , and of course the innkeeper Randye are all wonderful . To be frank , I can't understand how anyone can give this inn anything but...

This place is beautiful. I love the intimacy of a smaller inn/hotel. The check in process took all of one minute and every person we came in contact with during our short 24 hour stay was very friendly, helpful and accomodating. We were upgraded to the King fireplace room at the front of the Inn, which was outfitted with luxury...

This is a very quaint guesthouse in a prime East Hampton location. Hospitality was warm and the breakfast was great too. The rooms were tight for space but comfortable. Overall a bit pricey for the total experience, yet we enjoyed our stay.

Cutsey title but true! We stayed here for just 2 nights December 7th 2015 as a relaxing pre New York visit. It took a long time to drive there from JFK as we arrived in at 4.30pm on a Friday so thick with commuter traffic. I was beginning to think I really should have booked somewhere much closer to NYC...
