The Hampton Inn has always been our go-to hotel because we are confident about the quality of the product, and a good breakfast is included. However, I was dismayed when I learned that Hilton's poilcy is now to allow pets in every room, not just selected ones, as I am very allergic. After trying other hotels, I decided to give Hampton another chance When I called the Fishkill Hampton, I was somewhat reassured when Leslie described the deep clean that is done after every pet and told me that they keep records of pet stays so that they can give you a room that hasn't had a pet for at least a couple of weeks. When we got to the hotel, Sandy reassured me again, and I had no trouble with the room. Sandy also was very helpful telling us about attractions in the area. We ate at the nearby Red Line Diner, which was excellent. This hotel is very conveniently located, just off Route 9. The only reason I'm not giving the hotel 5 stars is that the breakfast wasn't as good as in other Hamptons we've stayed at and food wasn't replenished in a timely manner -- important when you need to get on the road. …
We were celebrating two funerals in this area, and we needed 10 rooms, they were very gracious and gave a very fair rate and the service this hotel offers was excellent. Everyone was pleased with the rooms, breakfast, amenities, linens etc. The rooms were quiet and roomy. This is a great spot to stop at if you are traveling on route 84 and passing by the Fishkill NY exit.
Nicely updated hotel, very clean. Sandy and Lisa at reception were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again. Dining suggestions: Farm to Table bistro for dinner -- fabulous menu and extensive wine list. Also, the nearby classic Red Line Diner.
Hotel is hidden behind another building being re-habed in front. Hotel itself is very nice. Rooms are bright and pleasant. Very comfortable furnishings. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was clean and updated. Common area and breakfast area were very inviting, clean and appealing. Breakfast had a good selection of both hot and cold foods. Overall a pleasant stay. The only slight con would be road noise. Very close to the highway and got a little bit of road noise in the room.
The desk clerk Yanki needs diversity training and needs to know how to engage in proper conversations with people from all different cultures. She was extremely rude and had a horrible demeanor. Shame on this Hampton Inn for using her to represent the first interaction a guest has during their stay. It's because of her I will never stay here again.
Clean, modern, well-organized and friendly hotel in a great Hudson Valley location. We stayed for two nights so we could hike with our dogs each day, and had a fantastic stay. It offers excellent value compared with the other hotels we’ve tried in the area, and we’d happily choose to stay here again. The rooms are efficiently laid out, with lots of extra storage and organizers, as well as a microwave and fridge. It’s pretty quiet, though if you’re a very light sleeper, you may want to turn on the fan to mask any background highway or hotel sounds. Sandy at the front desk helped us check in early to a first floor room, so it was easy to take our dogs in and out. The front desk also quickly helped us with a missing soap bar, resetting one of our key cards, and even fixing one of the exercise machines. Great service all around. The excellent free breakfast had oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, fruit, rotating hot dishes plus waffles and a juice bar. All very solid quality. The gym was compact but has clean towels, cold water, a scale, and all the usual machines, which was great. There’s even a sizable grassy pet area with bags and a trash can in the back of the parking lot for dogs to use the restroom — a great touch.…
The rooms stunk like mildew with the air conditioner on. We couldn't get another hotel last minute so we saw two rooms before we were given a room that smelled somewhat better. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom and barely any lighting to get ready. The sofa in the room was stained and dirty. The bed springs squeaked and the room seemed worn down and not maintained well. The breakfast looked so gross that we ate at the Cracker Barrel next door. I would not stay here again.
Very friendly staff from check in to check out , good complimentary selection of breakfast items, and the hotel was clean. Right off the highway too. They had a pool and gym however we didn’t end up using that.
I had driven 12 hours that day or I would have left. I needed a shower and sleep and I would be on the way again. I Googled this hotel and it showed a cost of $123. It took a good 10 minutes to drag the price out of the woman behind the desk. Just when I thought we had it, there was another fee added. I ended up paying $269.46 for one night. She appeased me by offering a 'gift bag' of 2 bottles of water and a tiny bag of chips and then complained I wasn't grateful. Room = $168 (one queen bed), pet fee = $75, sales tax = $6.09 State tax $13.65 Occupancy tax $6.72. The hotel was new, but the room was nothing special. However, the creepy part were the people staying there. Everyone was either outside on the parking lot or hanging around the door. They all seem to know each other and they were partying. In the morning when I left there was a heap of trash outside, bottles, food containers, etc. When I took the my dog out they grabbed at him and one guy took his frisbee. They seemed to be friendly but pretty drunk. I am a 72 yr old female and I took that frisbee back! I an a frequent traveler and when on the move, stay in cheap hotels. I have never seen anything like this. Breakfast was pretty good.…
We weren't expecting to stop on our drive back to NJ from MA but the weather was lousy and it was late, so we pulled into the Hampton Inn as we're fans of the brand. Recent searches for lodging in the Berkshires had really dimmed our view of economy lodging with so many horrible reviews, that we were a little worried that it was everywhere. But not in Fishkill! The Hampton Inn looks like it was built yesterday. We walked in without a reservation (we are Holding Honors members) Ave were taken by his big and clean the lobby was. The night clerk was very charming and he hooked us up with a room and snacks (thanks, HH perks!) The room was large and well-appointed and the bed was comfy. We took advantage of the breakfast and our helpful breakfast ambassador, Laurie, rustled up some almond milk for my wife. (The folded egg western omelette by all means should have been terrible, but it was really tasty.) As far as corporate lodgings go, this is the best example of the brand. Bravo to the staff at Fishkill Hampton Inn.…
