We stayed on a Sunday night. Maybe ten cars in parking lot. Front desk person was totally pleasant, delightful, and great to work with. Rest of place was spartan, little money put into it. Room was clean but spartan. Breakfast was minimal and toaster did not work; no one in there at 8 am. Could not turn off TV or change channel, so unplugged the A/V line to make screen go dark. We would not elect to go here again, in spite of the desk clerk and her pleasant personality. But hey, with low expectations for rest of place, it worked.
We reached a point in driving the dreaded turnpike that we decided no matter what, we were stopping at the next exit in the middle of nowhere. That happened to be Fredonia, where to our surprise, the rooms at most places were showing up on Hotwire for more than $110! (That was a LOT more than Niagara Falls where we had just left because we figured it would be more pricey than the turnpike.) Given all the motels in Fredonia were 2-3 star properties with big national changes that don't have the best reputations, we were about to head farther down the road - 'til we spotted a deal for under $70 at the Econo Lodge. While it's an older property, everything was spotless, with a large room with a separate sink that makes it convenient for two people sharing a room. The only complaint is that the breakfast area had just a few options - an off-brand cereal bar, instant oatmeal and some apples. While there was a toaster, we didn't spot any bread. But we left feeling really good after dealing with the VERY friendly and helpful Rose and Tammy at the front desk. We definitely would return because of them and we were grateful to find a very clean room, conveniently located that was quiet and affordable.…
Wonderful customer service and great room also clean and would definitely come back. My experience was great and quiet room was clean and close to restaurants good parking no complaints here just great
This place is just plain awful. Hallway had a weird smell when we arrived. We checked out the “fitness room” and the only 2 pieces of equipment were out of order. There was food crumbs and empty cups on the floor. The bathroom looked like it was repaired by children. The shower head was covered in something brown. The tub dripped the entire time. There were mystery stains on the ceiling. The tissue dispenser was rusted. The ceiling near the windows was peeling. The window channels were filled with debris and filth. The coat rack was rusted and had miscellaneous paint stains. If I could give zero stars I would. Stay elsewhere.
stayed in this hotel on oct 12 2019 .all other hotels in city was very expensive .but this one was only $85 for sat night and it feel like Marriott .front desk is wonderful .nice and clean rooms and close to everything .
We just needed a place to sleep. This was comfortable and clean. Strictly a continental breakfast as advertised. Worked out perfect for us and we saved $60 just because it didn’t have higher end finishes like other local hotels
This Econo Lodge was like many. Fredonia was a pleasant stop. Clean and inexpensive. Very empty. Breakfast was bread and water. They were out of coffee. In retropect driving that extra 45 minutes to Buffalo may have been a better idea.
