We stayed here as the last part of a trip round Zimbabwe. We had a wonderful time seeing the hippos in the river. Spotting crocs on the banks is fun. Our guide also had fish to throw the Osprey so we had a demonstration of their flying. I didn't want to leave.

Nestled in one of the best spots in all of Kariba lies Tiger Bay. Surrounded by such beauty and an array of wildlife it's the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The staff service was impeccable and they really went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. The resort itself is well established and has been around for...

We just love to take family and friends to this place. Great fishing and wild unadulterated Zimbabwe bush. The staff are so keen to please and the food is good. The ferry crossing is a bit of an adventure, but this is Africa! And this is where memories are made and rekindled. Alan

A great location in the middle of the Lake with staff that are really trying, but like many Zimbabwean destinations, the place is run down. Being in the middle of the lake the transfers across are costly and need to be undertaken in a proper lake going vessel given the huge expanse of water and waves. Gardens are overgrown and...

We were there in Dec 2009. Camp was very run down. Not good management. Hardly any choice on food and drinks. Had ceiling fans in rooms but no power after 9pm. Was to hot to sleep at night. The boat didn't arrive on time to pic us up. Made us wait for hours in the sun. On arrival there was...

We would like to thank all the staff at Tiger Bay for a truly wonderful holiday. Great food, perfect location and wonderful staff. We were a large group (23 of us) from all over the world spending some time together after our wedding, and we all had a great time. So wonderful to go somewhere where no request is a...

We stayed over New Year, and really loved the romantic setting of the resort, the fishing + bird-watching opportunities, or just chilling out by the pool or near our room. I caught my first 4 fish ever (a real thrill) and deepened my tan. The room's aren't lavish, but the mosquito nets work and the beds are quite comfortable, (although...

I stayed at Tiger Bay Lodge in Kariba for five nights in September 2012, with my partner, toddler and Mum-in-law. This was my first visit to Zimbabwe, and the Tiger Bay Lodge proved to be an oasis. The location was spectacular, we saw lots of game at dusk going to the lake shore for water. The accommodation was comfortable and...

My daughter, Sarah got married at Tiger Bay on the 7th July 2012. We hired the Zambezi Trader to sleep 50 guests and Tiger Bay hosted the remaining 35 guests. The setting and ambience made such a wonderful background to a truly African bush wedding. Jonathan and Sarah's photo's were done on the shorelines of the Ume River, such a...

“Make sure you get a room away from the generator and rather choose one with a shower than a bath. Cold shower is one thing, a cold bath is another! There are no doors! The front of the chalet is open to the elements with a canvas that rolls down to block out the rising sun.”
