Ok, so starting with the location - truly stunning, especially in the main reception area. Views on to the Zambezi river and beyond on a sunny day are truly sensational. Staff were friendly and most of the food was excellent. A good selection of wines too. Extras, such as bath looking out on the river, was wonderfully fun and luxurious....

Okay, first this camp has a fantastic staff! Everyone is outgoing, eager to please and smile and greet you every time. Amy, Eddie and Chris, to name a few, were just fantastic and great to deal with. Our guide, Tendai was fantastic in tracking. He got us some great animal experiences. Because it is in the Mana Pools National Park...

Mana Pools is fabulous and we saw wildlife to die for. Ruckomechi Camp was welcoming and friendly. Food excellent. It would get five stars except that both the rooms and reception area needed some refurbishment, but we were told this was happening the following year but no sign of it yet.

It has always been a dream of mine to take my family to Africa on Safari and Ruckumechi fulfilled all expectations. We were greeted by Amy and her staff who were all waiting with big smiles and a wave as we arrived. The safari tents were very comfortable and beautifully decorated and the meals were all delicious. The camp is situated very nicely at the Zambezi River with the mountain in Zambia as a background. The camp is nice with good rooms. What is special with the place is the rich animal life along the river. It is very nice to see it both from the jeep and from the water.

Ten tents look out over a lovely backdrop of hills in Zambia across the Zambezi River. There are large groves of acacia and mahogany trees in the area. A "Classic Camp" in the Wilderness Safaris categorization, this camp is quite rustic but very comfortable. If you are looking for hairdryers and Interent connections, however, this is not the place for...

How can you possibly summarize the amazingness that is Wilderness Safaris' Ruckomechi Camp by means of a measly Tripadvisor review? It's difficult and I daresay--as a previous reviewer has pointed out--it will sound wooden, but I will try. Ruckomechi is sheer magic. I mean, you know you are in a special part of the world when you get mock-charged by...

We had high hopes of Ruckomechi, probably the most expensive place we have ever stayed in, and we certainly weren't disappointed.
