I booked a king room and was given a room with two double beds. I didn't mind much because I was by myself but I think some people would be annoyed. I checked very carefully for bugs because this was my first time in a Super 8 and they don't have the best reputation. There was no evidence of any kind of bugs for my entire 5-night stay, and the whole room itself was clean. Although the rooms are VERY VERY outdated and not attractive at all, the towels, bed linens, bathroom, shower, fridge, etc. were all clean. There was also no unpleasant smell (in the room itself, that is. The stairwell smelled like marijuana at least two of the nights that I came in from work, which honestly does not bother me at all, but I know some might not enjoy that). The chair was badly stained but I didn't use it anyway. I was a little disappointed that the fridge did not have a freezer compartment, and I did not enjoy being on the first floor because the sidewalk is right outside the window, so I never felt comfortable opening the blinds to let sunlight into the room. I don't care much about how fancy a room is, as long as it is clean, so this hotel was acceptable in my book, especially for the price. On top of being no bugs, the room was very quiet/sound-proof. I was never awakened by any noises and I could hardly hear my car beep when I hit the lock button, even though it was right outside of my window. There were several individuals who would congregate outside, but everyone was very nice, including the staff, and I never felt concerned for my safety.…
For a quick stopover on the way towards Ticonderoga this hotel provided an affordable and pleasant experience. Our room was clean and accommodating and the staff was pleasant and available. Close to restaurants was a plus.
The room stunk from an old musty carpet and the hallway stunk too. Also, there was something sketchy at check in, I paid $174 on my Discover card on Expedia when I booked online. The receipt the motel gave me at the front desk showed $138 paid on a MasterCard (I did not use a MasterCard). I then noticed my Discover card was charged an additional $138, and then credited $138. In the end I paid what I thought I paid, but it was just sketchy how they did the accounting, obviously something was screwed up. Beds and bathroom were clean enough, it’s just there’s nothing they can do about the smell until they tear that old musty carpet out of there and replace it. It was quiet, I had no noise issues. The air-conditioning and the TV worked fine. Breakfast is oranges, cereal bars and packaged muffins with some juice available. If I had to do it again, I would spend an extra $30 -$40 and go somewhere else.…
room was supposed to be a handicapped accesible and wasn't, the room stunk, the bed was terrible, staff were ok, they made the best with what they had, apparene tly there was supposed to be a breakfast, not sure where it was, just not a place i would go back to
Rooms are outdated. Over priced. They didn't know what a king room was but they advertised one. Fridge was broke ruined all our stuff. All the appliances were plugged into one power strip. When I brought this to the attention of the staff at checkout all I got was an ok...
Trust me this place is disgusting. Spend the extra $40 to book the Holiday Inn across the street, you will be glad you did. The staff was rude, the rooms were gross with stray hairs all over the place and bugs!
For the price it was a decent facility. Don't count on the breakfast, it was advertised as a full breakfast, but it is more of a continental style. My husband and I were disappointed. We were only there for one night and the price overall was great for the accommodations we had. I would go there again. This time with no plans to have their breakfast.
Strong chemical smell in room, broken ice machine, no community bathroom on 1st floor. Room definitely not worth the price. This is the 2nd place booked from booking.com that had a decent rating and it really tanked.
This locate is trying the rooms smelled of disinfect there was no dust or garbage behind the night stands chairs and room carpet had been cleaned .However the ice machine has been broken since at least Jan 2021, the hallway carpets are trashed ,the tub shower is a slow drain 🤮 there was a limited Continental breakfast the lobby is cleaned up no smoking inside the property it seems that the staff is trying to clean things up fresh paint helped . The problem seems to come from the owners not wanting to put any $$$ into the property( new ice machine ,new hallway carpet , ) when asked I was told they are busy with other businesses snd locations that this was not a priority. The staff is friendly tgg he r rooms clean the price is right
Our experience began with being turned away when we attempted to check in a half hour early and were greeted by an empty front desk. Upon ringing the bell, we were sent away, not politely informed our room wasn't ready and equally gruffly turned away when we asked for a rest room. The employee was, un-uniformed, sloppily dressed and obviously had no customer service training. At that time I noticed that the lobby was worn and the carpeting needed a good shampooing. Upon returning (thankfully we're familiar with the area and went to a nearby Stewarts to relieve ourselves and kill the half hour) we again experienced a person less front desk and had to wait for a clerk, who informed us that she was busy cleaning rooms because they were short staffed. We asked about the ice machine and were informed it was broken, but that they would store a bag for us in their freezer if we bought one! We walked to our room noticing that the hallways were less than clean and again the carpet needed cleaning. The room itself was relatively clean, but the tub was stained and the bathroom poorly lit. A desk served as nightstand. There was not outlet near the desk (nor USB ports) forcing me to move the bed in order to gain access to an outlet and the ability to charge our devices. The way the AC was positioned, it blew directly into the window curtains, causing them to bellow and block airflow. The rear exit and stairwell were truly filthy. Light sleepers should note that one side of the building faces I87 and was noisy. The TV channel selection was very good (full cable lineup). With a good deep cleaning and some training in guest hospitality, this could be a fine property. As it is now, I'd recommend avoiding this location and I really don't believe it's fitting of the Wyndham brand.…
