The Premier Inn Staines-upon-Thames hotel comes highly recommended for its immaculate rooms and overall clean premises. Its location proves to be a hit for its convenience to local attractions like Thorpe Park, shops, and public transport, despite some parking difficulties. While the rooms are celebrated for their comfort and powerful showers, a few guests have raised concerns about room size and cleanliness. Affordable rates contribute to the hotel's value, although there are occasional grumbles about extra charges. Service is generally well-regarded, with remarks on friendly staff, but not without some inconsistencies. The welcoming atmosphere of the hotel, underscored by the pleasant extra touches in the rooms, adds to the positive experience of many guests.

The hotel is well situated in the high street. We used the hotel as a base to visit Windsor, but it could equally be used as a hotel for the airport. The hotel was new, modern and very inviting. The staff were warm and friendly. The hotel room was lovely, well designed and equipped. It was spotlessly clean. There was a reassuring smell of bleach and disinfectant when you walked in the room. A comforting smell in the current climate. We had a lovely evening meal in the hotel restaurant . The food was well presented and cooked. The service was efficient and friendly. The hotel breakfast was great. A large selection of well prepared hot and cold foods. In all we had a lovely stay here.

Myself and my boyfriend booked a weekend away to Thorpe Park and firstly were very impressed by the price of the hotel particularly for a weekend, so we decided to book for breakfast both days as well.
We arrived quite late on Friday evening and received a warm welcome from the young Lithuanian girl in reception who's name sadly I can't remember however she was very welcoming and accommodating so thank you!
We wanted to stay in a premiere inn as we knew they are always exceptionally clean, and this stay was no different. Our room was spotless and felt like normal times, which goes to show that the hotel have great standards anyway. It was great to see the extra information about extra cleaning measures the staff are going to at the moment though so thank you again.
Our room was comfortable and spacious with air con which was greatly appreciated!
We had breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Both times the food was delicious, the lay out of the restaurant felt safe and again very clean, and there was clear signage explaining what to do. Staff were very accommodating and polite.
Overall we had a really enjoyable stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you to all the staff for your hard work and for being open in these times, myself and my boyfriend had a really enjoyable weekend away especially as we both too have been working throughout the pandemic :)

This hotel runs out of irons and has no system for tracking them down. Not good when your shirt needs ironing for a meeting in the morning. At the prices they charge there should be a plentiful supply or a decent system of knowing who has them or an ironing room!

Good afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. We're sorry to hear that you wasn't able to iron your shirt due to the hotel already giving out all of their irons to other guests. We can understand how frustrating and inconvenient this must have been and we will be passing on your feedback to the hotel management team to make sure this is improved going forward. Please accept our apologies again and we do hope you can give us another chance in the future. Kind regards, James

Check in was at 2pm, we arrived at 5:30pm and got told the room wasn’t ready … we waited till 6pm for it to be ready. There was no apology or updates … it was also a very hot day and no drinks was offered (to be purchased or complementary). For breakfast we booked for 9am in which you get an hour time slot and has to wait 20m both days to be seen which isn’t great when you get an hour. The staff said the room was meant to be cleaned everyday, so we left our towels in the bath as the sign said and when we arrived at 8pm the next day, the room hadn’t been cleaned nor any fresh towels. There was no apologies for any of this. The hotel was nice, but they was either understaffed or really didn’t care about customer satisfaction

Dear Laura, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay. We’re sorry to see you had problems with a delayed check-in, poor service from the team and slow service at breakfast, as well as being disappointed with the lack of room servicing. At the moment, in line with our CleanProtect ™ promise rooms will only be serviced on the 6th day of your stay, or when this has been requested with the team. This will be the reason this wasn't completed, but you're able to request this is completed or additional towels and bedding at reception. We're sorry this wasn't advised on your arrival. Please be assured we’ve passed your comments to the hotel management for review. They’ll make sure this is picked up with the Reception, Housekeeping and Breakfast teams and any required action taken. This will help us to prevent this from happening again moving forward. Again, our sincere apologies and thank you for taking the time to share your review. We hope that we can look forward to welcoming you back to one of our hotels again soon for a more enjoyable stay. Kind regards, Lauren

You hear all these reviews on this site and think some are petty, i don't normally like to leave bad reviews but this is a genuine disappointment!

We stayed here for 2 nights as we were going to thorpe park for son's 13th birthday. And as the hotel was close to the park and in town center we thought it was perfect.
Check was easy enough although u have to buzz for reception to let u in waited 10 mins untill a customer let us in with the room.card . Car park is Staines-upon-Thames town center car park and parking is expensive. There is no clear instructions as to where the entrance of hotel is.
We were on 3rd floor, we paid for a family room and looked obvious we were in a double room with 2 beds squeezed together. Very small.
No soap in bathroon , glad we bought our own.

We decided to have the hotels breakfast at £8.99 per adult kids ate for free. Good deal!
However you have to pick a time slot due to covid, we picked 8.30am, it was quiet and not over packed; our seating was chosen by staff.

we placed our order, and that was relatively quick.however the cutlery and condiments were missing we did ask and she kept saying i will get ..but never did , so we had toget up to get our own.
After waiting 25 mins and seeing others get the food i asked where ours was. To be told they lost our ticket! How could they lose a ticket? The system was not organised yet all they had to do was collect food from servery. Rediculous.
The main toilets in dining was not stocked with toilet roll and was like it for 2 days.

They advertise that you get the perfect nights sleep, well i can reasure you we didn't, the mattress was like a brick and woke up with back ache and stiffness. We didn't sleep well at all.
We have stayed in other Premier inns and experience has been better, this hotel was very disappointing and will never stay here again .

What can I say apart from brilliant. Booked to stay to visit London, Legoland, Windsor and Thorpe Park. Fantastic location for all with easy access to train station 5 mins walk. Car parking adjacent to hotel - had issues with car parking as in I couldn’t actually pay on either the app or physically on the machine. Rang the operator and basically had to pay nothing all week.
Only negative on first full day room was not made up despite informing reception as described. Was immediately rectified by night manager with a smile. Thank you.
The staff here were impeccable with their can do friendly attitude during our entire stay. Special shout out to Anabella and her waitress team who made our breakfast very pleasant each morning with their cheer and professional attitude. The Lollies for my kids certainly helped. Breakfast choice was full English or cereal, fruit, all the usual bread and bakery items etc. Only one morning food was slightly undercooked but still far more than edible.
Bernardo couldn’t do enough to compensate for the initial day cleaning faux pas. These things happen.
Staines itself is a pleasant surprise with plenty to do and eat all within a 5 minute walk including all the usual high street burger, Japanese, chicken and coffee chains plus a very good size indoor shopping centre and retail park.
Food in hotel excellent on evening- chicken wings some of the best I’ve had anywhere ! Compliments to the chef on that one!!
Room good size and after initial cleaning hurdle was cleaned very well each day with a fresh supply of towels. Slight note on day of departure the cleaning team (3 people) were literally loitering outside our door for us to leave despite it being two hours earlier than we had to.
No problems checking in physically despite the auto check ins being out of order. Also never had a drama with being seen very quickly on either the front desk or restaurant entrance.
Scored 4/5 only due to cleaning which I see on other reviews is a bit of a theme. Easily rectified given correct direction and tightening up of information passing.

Will deffo be back next year to revisit same attractions and a few extra we would like to do.

Massive thanks to you all for a great, comfortable stay and making us feel like part of the place for the week.

Looked pleasant on arrival.

Not many car parking spaces, had to sit around and wait for a space on some occasions
Room needed a deep clean, marks on the walls, lamp shades, dust on top of headboard, the shower head looked like it has never been cleaned.
No daily clean due to covid which meant the 2 of us had 1 towel each each last 4 days, had to keep asking for tea milk and clean cups as these are usually replenished when the clean takes place.
Hair dryer was broken
No Air con, settings went to 19⁰ as the lowest
Window didn't open so couldn't let fresh air in
Extractor fan I bathroom wasn't working
SOOO hot overnight and also kids running around the halls making noise until late night.
Breakfast was okay, nothing special however there is a nice harvester down the road who did a cracking breakfast for cheaper than Premier Inn.

Would stay with Premier inn again.. just not the one in Staines

Hi there Sophie, Thank you for your review. We’re very sorry that you were left disappointed by the cleanliness standards in your room on arrival, the temperature of your room and issues with the hair dryer and extractor fan in the bathroom. This certainly isn't the experience we would expect for you to have when staying with us. The safety and wellbeing of our guests and teams has always been incredibly important to us and everyone in our hotels should rightly expect a safe, clean and protected environment. The Coronavirus crisis has brought this into sharp focus, which is why we have launched a new rigorous, daily cleaning regime across all our hotels. We apologise you found your room to not be up to the high standard we would expect. We have ensured this feedback has been logged to the Hotel Management team so that they can look into these issues with our Housekeeping teams to prevent this experience from being repeated again in the future. Thank you for taking the time to contact us and we hope we can welcome you for a more enjoyable stay in the future. Kind regards, Tayler

We stayed here for our summer ‘staycation’, four of us stopping for four nights. The room was clean and air conditioned, breakfast good (although more limited than before COVID) and all staff helpful whenever we asked for anything replenishing. There was plenty of parking nearby, and although it was chargeable at £12 for 24 hours, the charges paused overnight, which was a pleasant surprise and had a big impact on what we actually paid. We used this as a base to go to Legoland, Thorpe Park and Chessington and for that it was perfect. After a day in the theme parks it was a quick drive back and then there were plenty of restaurants to eat an evening meal in a very short walk away from the hotel. We’d definitely use the hotel again.

My goodness, how refreshing to be greeted so warmly by Mayank and his wonderful team. A very efficient, clean and modern hotel offering direct accessibly to the centre of Staines and every practicality a family needs. We were received warmly and with great care & consideration. Our room was perfectly spotless and consisted of 1 x double 2x single impeccably presented beds. Breakfast was fantastic, many thanks to our hostesses and chefs. We will definitely be coming back.
