Hypothesis: Mercure hotel rooms are designed and fitted out by short bald men. One of the banes of my business travel life is the hotel hairdryer. They are ordered and fitted by people who haven't got a clue about what hairdryers are for and how they are used. My assumption: most people are over 5 ft tall and the hair...

This is an ok business hotel. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean. The hallways look old and dirty, but the rooms are ok. The hotel is walking distance from the town center and relatively close to Heathrow.

In town for a few days on business. Found this to be a cozy hotel with some nice character. Rooms were just fine. Location was good for walking to my office. Best part was relaxing outside on the patio, next to the Thames.

Our river view room (additional charge) had french doors opening out onto footpath and river which was ideal for dog walking early and late in the day. We chose this hotel as we needed to travel to Waterloo, Richmond & Kingston which was very easy from the nearby train station. The bus station was even nearer for a trip to...

The location is nice (river, close to downtown). The style is too old for my taste. Room is fine but you have issue with humidity: ceiling paint was bad with stains. You can hear everything from the next door room :-( Restaurant is good but you have issue with service: each time, I was served drinks starters and main meal...

This hotel is well situated for the town centre. I was originally offered a very very small basic room but I asked to be moved and was placed in a much better room that seemed to be recently renovated. The breakfast is good and they do offer a cooked to order breakfast. There is a bar and restaurant for food...

I last stayed here 29 years ago so when we needed to come to the area I looked on booking.com and found this place. Well why not go back to what was once a great hotel for business's stays. This time it was pleasure and it fitted in perfectly with our trip, also we could bring the dog. Everything worked...

I stayed at this hotel for one night for bed and breakfast. When arriving at the hotel I was told the restaurant would be closed due to low numbers and food would be served in the bar. Having waited nearly twenty five minutes for a member of staff to serve me I decided to arrange room service which was awful....

Stayed 2 nights over NYE - upgraded to a deliuxe room which was ok and spacious but room was poorly cleaned. Blood stained towels, lip stick on glasses & hairs in used dressing gown. I had to address it twice with hotel after they did nothing to resolve. They did offer free drinks vouchers & no upgrade free bonus points...

Stayed here for just one night and had booked classic room, on arrival check-in was fine as I had done it online the day before. Room on first floor (75) and was ok in size with tea/coffee making facilities and was surprised when we saw we had a river view and even balcony which I gather is a supplement if...
