Detailed Reviews
This is very good find. Staines is a very nice place and this hotel is tucked away down a small road in a very pleasant area. From pictures I assumed this was a modern newish build but it is a very nice old building with an extension. The rooms are modern and nice but retain a feeling of the building’s vintage with vaulted ceilings and dark wood banisters.
Staff are friendly.
The bed was hard and comfortable and the pillows very good.
My biggest gripe with most hotels is the paper thin walls. The Boleyn does not escape this problem but the clientele appear to be respectful and as such there was none of the blasting music/tv game shows or raucous behaviour you find in lesser establishments.
The iron was in the wardrobe and worked very well. The air conditioning was perfect.
There was a horrific cat fight outside the window at night with two girls shouting obscenities and fighting but this was likely due to the pub over the road and was more amusing than disturbing. It appeared to be nothing to do with the hotel.
Breakfast lets the place down a little. It’s more like an all inclusive Spanish resort in that you line up and scoop the various items out of large metal holders. There is no toast so the waitress comes round and takes your order by which time it’s too late. Also the chairs are far too small for the height of the table so it’s quite uncomfortable but you get used to it.
The food however was excellent and the coffee and juice very good.
All in all this is highly recommended and I would stay here again and again.
Parking is free and secure. The main town is a short walk over the beautiful Thames.
A perfect summer stay.

Just a few yards off the noisey, busy, main road and you arrive in a quiet and relaxing hotel. Thankfully, there's plenty of parking. The manager gave us a warm welcome. The full English breakfast is great. If you fancy, there's a splendid Indian restaurant attached next door. There's also the option of the Swan pub effacing, that serves good food and drinks , although pricey and small portions.

Rooms were air conditioned which was brilliant. Staff were exceptionally helpful - froze my cool bag ice packs & kept my drinks in a fridge overnight. Very useful for my onward journey the next day.
The large car park was also great, and it meant that I felt safe leaving my surf board on the roof rack overnight

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed for 2 nights as we were off to Thorpe Park! We stayed in the Boleyn Suite with our 2 kids - large very comfy bed for us and a sofa bed and additional bed for the kids. Lots of space and a TV in each of the separate areas. We all slept very well and the room was very warm. Safe, ironing board and iron and a hairdryer were all in the room. Bathroom was immaculate with a great shower in the bath, lovely toiletries and lots of towels provided. Ample parking in the walled hotel car park. Breakfast was very good - a choice of cereals, croissants, yoghurts, chopped fruit, fruit bowl and a variety of cooked options including a full English. Service was quick both mornings and we couldn’t fault it. The location is amazing - a walk across the bridge leads you straight to all the shops and restaurants. We went to the cinema one night and ate in TGI Fridays. It’s literally a 5 minute drive to Thorpe Park - amazing!! Also we must mention The Swan - the pub across the road which sits on the banks of the Thames and is a lovely welcoming pub!! Highly recommend this fabulous hotel!

Awful stay. Stayed for 2 days with 2 work colleagues who were in other rooms.
There was no heating in 2 of our rooms, we were told one of the boilers was faulty. There was no hot water in the shower. We overheard reception tell someone they were having a shower at "the wrong time". We were told that we would be offered alternative rooms for the second night. On getting to reception, we were told that they wouldn't move us as all the rooms would be the same. They moved one of the guys when he commented on the fact that he could hear everything in reception. The other guy was moved at 0100 when he complained about the noise from the kitchen and the broken fridge (that sounded like a generator running all night). The sheets on the beds were stained and dirty. Due to the noise, I got under 4 hours sleep the second night.
Staff were extremely rude and the manager denied any of this happened to the girl in our company that books our travel complained.
Breakfast was ok and the location was good for where we were working, those are the only 2 positives.

We decided to treat the kids to Thorpe Park and thought a 2 day pass would be enough for them to enjoy all the rides. We chose the Boleyn Hotel as it was very close to the resort and walking distance to the town center.
Upon arrival we were greated by Jiaju who was very friendly and allowed us to check into our room early even though check in was 2pm.
The room was very clean and the service we received from Aman was very professional even though we were very demanding.
We will definetley return for a visit again and hopefully try the cuisine.
The receptionist Kurpreet organised our request for takeaway for the children and made sure we were happy.
Well done Boleyn Team. We will be back.

The room was nicely decorated and a reasonable size for the two of us - TV signal was intermittent and the remote control sometimes stopped working.
Bathroom was lovely with a spacious shower and a heated towel rail. The decoration in the bathroom was really nice and the amenities were good. Only issue being they only provided one towel when the room was booked for two people.
Breakfast was quite nice and continental options were nice. Waiter seemed panicked and disorganised, and got the full english order wrong (ordering beans instead of sausages!!). Breakfast room was spacious and food service was quick.
Staff at the reception was friendly and checked us in quickly. Another positive was the fact they allowed us to leave our bags in a side room after we had checked out, as we were visiting Thorpe Park that day.
However, when we returned later on that day to collect our bags, the hotel doors were all locked! We had not been informed that this would happen, and we had a train to catch. Every door to the hotel had been bolted with no warning. We had informed them that we would be returning for our bags around 12:30 or 1, so they were well-aware of our time of return.
We had to phone the hotel a few times to get through, to which the owner replied that he was "out" and would be back in an hour. This was really frustrating as all of our possessions were inside and we had no way to access them! We had to sit at a bench nearby and wait for him to come back and let us in (they must have locked all main doors and left the fire escape open, but this was around the back and we didn't check).
Overall, we would stay elsewhere if we were visiting Staines again as the hotel let us down on a few occasions. The fact that they locked us out without warning is the key reason we wouldn't return here :(

We have booked a number of rooms for our family and friends arriving from abroad to celebrate our wedding anniversary with us. The Boleyn hotel was the perfect location as it was close to our home and the party venue. The rates were reasonable and the rooms we were shown looked good and modern. Unfortunately all came undone when our guests arrived and stayed at the hotel. The bathrooms were not cleaned well - dirt and limescale were left on the floor and underneath the toilet. The response from Front Desk when mentioning this was met with disinterest. The bedroom walls were quite thin resulting in it it being fairly noisy. Another guest came back finding their bedroom door left open after the cleaner has been - again Front Desk's response was poor. The breakfast room was not cleaned very well and the food left out with little care or attention. Overall, I was quite embarrassed having booked my family at the hotel. The place could be great but the service is really letting them down.

+1
My wife and I stayed at the Boleyn for 2 nights as my birthday treat, bugs sorry to say it was not a treat, we arrived early and could not find any one in the hotel, eventually we found some one in the kitchen, and he said our room will be ready in half an hour so we went for a walk along the Thames, when we arrived back at the hotel we were given a key card for room 210, when we walked in we were greeted by a very small room after further inspection we were disgusted to find poo stains near the rim and seat broken the room was very dirty. I complained to reception , after a while we were offered another room which was much better and bigger although again it was not clean , my wife had to get a wet wipe to clean the toilet although it was not as bad as the first room, there is only a choice of currie, no other choice so we went across the road to the swan to eat and drink and found it ok, the swan is on the Thames the Boleyn is not, on the second night we ate at the Boleyn as my wife likes curries, and have to say it was one of the best curries I we have had even our breakfast on both mornings were excellent , the WiFi is hit and miss and there are no biscuits in the room. On the morning we where due to leave there was no water so could not clean teeth or shower disgusting, we were told it was a technical fault, but although things can happen we received no apology totally poor reaction to our complaint.

This is my second year in a row I have stayed at this hotel. The first time I wasn’t disappointed so decided to book again this year.
Arrived early and was welcomed by the hotel manager. Ownership has changed since my last visit but he was very friendly and welcoming. My room was ready early so I was able to check in at 1.30pm
I made my way round to my room which was on the ground floor. I was as expected very happy. Very clean, perfect room temperature, clean bathroom with an amazing walk in shower and complimentary toiletries.
Bed was comfortable with crisp clean sheets. Kept the temperature as it was but had the option of air con or heating and had a lovely heated towel rail in the bathroom.
Aside from a few noisy guests who spoke very loudly walking past my room (which you get in any hotel) I had a perfect night sleep
I had to leave early the next morning so didn’t have breakfast but it smelled lovely as I was leaving
I will be back same time next year
