This place is a gem. The staff is uniformly helpful, upbeat, and friendly. Our room was beautiful and clean, and the fireplace was a very nice touch. The dinner menu was excellent and so was the food. We had steak and chicken, as well as crab cake appetizers. The drinks were also excellent, and they have a good wine selection. For guests of the Inn the bar is open 24/7. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent.
With the caveat that staffing shortages (which are affecting all businesses) sometimes made it difficult to reach customer service by phone, I had a lovely and enchanting one night stay at the Stagecoach Inn. This is easily one of the most beautiful inns I've ever visited in my life, and my room even had a charming working fireplace. I forgot my charger when I checked out but the hotel sent it by express FedEx the next week - the service all around really went above and beyond to ensure I was put in the best room available and that I was comfortable during the entire stay. I highly recommend the Stagecoach Inn!
The Inn itself is lovely. Our room was beautifully appointed. The problem was that our room, The Dobbins Room, should not be a guest room. It is the only room directly over the kitchen and event space with a backstair for employees adjacent to the room leading directly to the kitchen. There is no soundproofing. This room should only be offered to guests who don’t mind noise and don’t go to sleep before midnight. We were guests for two nights and left utterly exhausted!
The staff and owners (Faith and Ron) are extremely welcoming, warm, and friendly. They sincerely care that you feel at home and all your concerns are met. The head innkeeper CarriAnn and entire staff went above and beyond to make us feel as comfortable as family. The restaurant is a particular standout on its own. I especially enjoyed the "Ron"hatten, hangar steak, truffled breakfast potatoes, premium restaurant, peaceful private grounds, and the comfy bed and linens - which I called the "butter bed". The Stagecoach Inn checks all the boxes for the highest standards and expectations. We are already planning our return.
Beautiful property. Cosy, full of charm & history, staff couldn't have been nicer. Room & bed were so comfortable & property was spotlessly clean. Enjoyed sitting by the fireplace. Would definitely recommend.
My husband and I recently got married at the Stagecoach Inn. Overall it was a pleasant experience and a lovely setting for a small, intimate gathering or event. Our group consisted of 11 people including us. Accommodations were very nice. The service was ok, not great and coordinating the particulars with the staff was less then ideal. We felt at times that we were more of an imposition to them with how they interacted with us leading up to our big day. We did not find the owner easy to talk to or work with. She was sometimes snippy and never thanked us for choosing her inn. We just felt like she didn't want to deal with us. We genuinely enjoyed the server that we had. He was the best. The food overall was very good. I had salmon which was a little dry. I was unimpressed but everything else was very good. At the end of our event, we felt very rushed as the staff was coming through our dining room area cleaning up while we were still in there. (To have paid all that money, come on guys). Like most aspects of a business, they charged for every little thing so like anything, be sure to read the fine print and ask all your questions up front. They charge $15-20 for children's chicken tenders and mac and cheese - a bit much. There are other things but you get the point. Overall, we do not feel like we got the level of service for what we paid for our wedding. It felt "transactional." It is a lovely venue with an intimate and charming setting if you're looking for a nice evening out for two or with your family for dinner, I highly recommend it. But if planning an event like a wedding, they are not the easiest to work with and lack a friendly touch.…
Booked the Margo room for a Friday night stay with my special other -- it was the perfect romantic interlude from beginning to end. The room was elegantly decorated with a roaring fireplace (fake, but it keep you warm and the visual effect is quite something!) and an extraordinarily comfortable bed. Dinner in their well-regarded restaurant was magnificent and we greatly enjoyed the duck breast and the beef fillet. Breakfast next morning was a homely, satisfying end to our stay, and we departed with big smiles on our faces. The owners and staff are the loveliest people who treat you like family (this was our second stay at the Inn, I should add). That they were able to make us feel so welcome and so comfortable during this pandemic tells you everything you need to know! So hit that booking button. Stay at the Stagecoach Inn. You will not be disappointed.…
Stayed here with my boyfriend for the holiday and wound up extending for a second night. Everything about this place was incredible from the start, we were greeted by the general manager JP and given a tour of the house upon arrival, with a rundown of the history of the property and neighboring properties. He never hesitated to provide us anything that we needed to ensure that our stay was perfect, and quite frankly was the reason that we chose to stay an additional night. He is most definitely an asset to this property, as the customer service he provided was comparable to that of a Four Seasons. Our room, the Hickok was extraordinary, equipped with a fireplace that kept the room at a very comfortable temperature. The bed was super comfortable and provided an incredible nights sleep. We ate at the restaurant the second night there, and the service was impeccable. Our waitress, Shannon, was very friendly and is awesome at what she does. There was never a moment that our glasses were empty. And the food was top quality. The chef in the kitchen knows how to please a crowd. The drinks were also great, having the Manhattan and Old Fashioned here are a must. All in all, this place is a must if visiting the Hudson Valley, even if only popping into the restaurant for dinner service. It is centrally located roughly 30 minutes from Beacon Train Station (where there are Zipcars for those coming up from the city) and they are going above and beyond in regards to COVID guidelines set forth by the state. …
My husband and I came here for “Burger Night” which they have on many Thursday nights (just check ahead). We enjoyed the ambiance, quiet indoor seating with a cozy fireplace close by. Our waiter was Franco who was absolutely amazing, funny, and helpful with the menu choices. He brought us fresh bread while we viewed the menu. To start we chose the candied bacon, and Brussel sprouts. Both appetizers did not disappoint as the flavors were truly delicious, and enjoyed burgers with fries that were also amazing!
Another great night with excellent service ! Thank you to the entire staff ! Sticky Ribs / highly recommended. Scallops wrapped in bacon - scallops cooked perfect and the bacon was crispy. Stop in for a happy hour to check it out for yourself , you’ll be back !
