Writing in excitement as we are returning for our fourth year this afternoon. The cabin is perfect for the three of us - just the right size! Maurice is a gentleman and if you need anything, just ask. He takes great care in his property and the visitors that stay there. The property and beach are pristine and the views are beautiful. We enjoy the evening fire. It maybe a diamond in the rough but a perfect cabin for us! Maurice recommended Eddie’s Restaurant to us last year and it was delicious! We pick up breakfast sandwiches at The Hague General Store and bring them back and sit at one of the picnic tables overlooking the beach. We never miss a visit to the Juniper above the General Store, beautiful and reasonably priced jewelry, clothing, children’s section, Lake George items, sale room and specialty items. Highly recommend a stay at the Motel!

Delightful motel and cabins in the heart of Hague NY. Right on the shore of Northern Lake George.
Very clean 5 room motel faces rte 9. There are 3 cabins that face the lake. We chose room 1 which has a covered porch that faced Lake George.
From the main building there is a large grass area that gently slopes to the sandy beach.
There is a small protected area of beach suitable for small children to frolic.
The lake is shallow for at least 200 yards from the shore.
The 3 cabins are rustic. With kitchen, enclosed porch, cabin 1 could sleep at least 6.
Room 1 was small but comfortable. Plenty of light.
Full bathroom.
Small fridge worked great.
Good AC and heating unit.
It had 1 double bed.
It had cable TV which worked well.
Maurice, the owner, was very welcoming and accommodating.
He allowed us to use the larger fridge in cabin 1.
There are 3 weber grills. 1 at each cabin.
There is a coffee maker in the room. We walked up the street to the Hague market for coffee and breakfast items.
There is a canoe and 2 kayaks to use.
We enjoyed our 3 night stay.
We swam 2x a day even in the rain.
We look forward to going there again.

We stayed just one night in the motel portion, not the cabins in back. The location is nice. Behind the motel there is a point with adirondack chairs and a gazebo which make for a pleasant place to read. It is next door to a peaceful public park with a swimming area and lifeguard. The room was clean enough. The owner was friendly and helpful. The room was nostalgic with gold flecked merlite panels in the bathroom. It wasn't until I felt it was too late at night to ask at the office, that I discovered that the room did not have a hair dryer or shampoo. The Firehouse restaurant was a great place to walk to for supper. It was ok, but wouldn't stay again.

The owner obviously has a problem. He should not be in the service business. He was out of control over absolutely nothing! I stopped to see my sister for 5 minutes and he screamed at me and my family. Wanting us to pay $10.00 per person to visit. I explained that I have a place in town and was not staying and my sister had a five person room but he still wanted us to pay. The place also is not clean and is in obvious disrepair. I would not stay there and would not recommend it to anyone!

We stayed in a cabin on the edge of the private beach. It was spectacular! We woke up each morning to the sound of the waves hitting the shoreline. It was so relaxing. My kids just loved it as well. They were content swimming and fishing all day while sat in the sun and read. The place is old, but, Jim, the owner, keeps all the cabins and motel rooms squeaky clean. He's a great guy, by the way. He let my daughter use a fishing pole to fish while we were there and she just loved it. One time we walked up the road and rented a boat. Jim let us rent a boat slip to keep the boat while we had it and it made the experience even more relaxing and enjoyable. I have come to Lake George my entire life and I think the view from the Hague Motel's private beach is the best on the entire lake. This is truly hidden jewel. There is nothing honky tonk about this place. I just loved it!

The cabins have complete kitchens, so you can bring all your own food to cook. If you wish to eat dinner out, you can walk to a little cafe that offers breakfast and lunch that is next to the General Store. THis is a place run by some lovely local women and they have an antique store as well. Other than that, I would drive out to dinner over the town line to an Italian Restaurant which is family run. There is a newer restaurant in the Hague Center in the old firehouse, but it is mainly a bar. I didn't feel comfortable bringing my children there. Once I went with my husband in the evening alone and there was no air conditioning, so we had to leave before our meal was served because it was so bloody hot and LOUD.

Take a trip way up there to the Hague Motel, it is well worth the trip!

We booked this motel at the last minute for a quick weekend getaway. The motel has several cabins and a motel with 6 rooms, including one so-called suite, two rooms interconnected. We stayed in the suite and found it to have plenty of room for our family. It had a small kitchenette and large refrigerator. This is a basic motel with no frills, but we found it to be clean and the staff attentive. The property has a large backyard with picnnic tables, Adirondack chairs and loungers plus a beach. Canoes and kayaks are available for use for free. We were able to dock our boat right on the property since they have about 5-6 slips. There is a pretty cabana to sit in and gaze at the wonderful Lake and its view. At night we had a bon fire where our kids could roast marshmellows and make smores. We love this part of the lake the best since there is not that much boat traffic and is more serene. Definitely not like the chaotic southern Lake George Village.

I stayed here 3 or 4 times, each time just for 1 or 2 nights with my wife and kids. The Hague Motel is great for what it is - a simple quiet place on lake George with a nice lawn and a nice little beach and nice docks. If you just want to be on the lake - you will love it. The neighborhood is fairly quiet. The rooms are plain and dated - nothing fancy but okay. Not sure about a week in them, but for a couple nights,, sure. Again, if you want to sit by the water and the room isn't the main draw, it is just great, and a real bargain. The setting is great. The owner is okay I think. He works hard and its tough dealing with tourists. He was more than fair with us.

my aunt rented a room for 2 nights. we called the night before to see if we could check her in before the 3:00 check in time. the guy told us it would be fine because everyone was going to be gone alredy. she was checked in 2 hours early. we had other family in the area that meet us there to hang out for a few hours. (only 6 of us total) we were sitting by the beach when out of no where the guy that runs the place came at us screaming. saying there was 12 of us and that we were using his facility for free etc. he never tried to talk to us in a calm matter. when we tried to talk to him to see what was going on he flipped out and said "then you can drag your a$$ out of here" . he refunded us ( we were only there for 2 hours at this point) and continued to scream at us while we were packing. this man was out of control. i would never go back there and the place wasnt even that clean. also the man that was flipping out also stays in the hotel. what a waste of time
