Detailed Reviews
Hotel's Favourite
Very nice, one night stay during trip to Chicago. It feels like the hotel was built in the last five years or so. Modern lobby and room furnishings. Very clean.
Nice size room with two Queens, a fridge and microwave.
Bathroom was very nice with walk in shower and a sink with lots of counter / shelf space. Bonus features included multiple hooks for towels and a night light, which is always helpful!
Swimming pool would be good for kids but not for laps. Fitness center was pretry well equipped including a stationary bike.

We reserved the Hampton Inn in a block of rooms for a nearby wedding Labor Day weekend. Our King room, 204, was spacious and had a microwave, fridge, loveseat, desk and chair, three wire shelves, and a movable side table. There were light and outlet controls on both sides of the bed. There was a sheer shade that blocked the view (of the front of the hotel and street, not much noise) with a Roman shade that blocked most of the outside light. Lights in the room were dim. The shower was large with easy controls and the AC worked well and was easy to change. The décor is modern. There is a sliding barn door covering the closet and the bathroom, meaning when one was open, the other was closed. This also meant that the bathroom door did not close tightly, and you could hear everything. Breakfast was normal hotel fare; the coffee wasn’t great. Snacks and drinks area available for purchase in the lobby. Housekeeping was very loud at 8:30 am on Monday. Check out the cute town of Hamburg—we had an excellent brunch at the Grange Community Kitchen.

This was an around great experience. In town for a family celebration our kids were set to fly in on Saturday night but due to weather their flight was cancelled. My husband and I had arrived by car and alerted the front desk that one of the rooms would only be needed for one evening. Staff were very accommodating and understanding and revised the reservation for the next day and one overnight instead of two.
Our king room was lovely outfitted with a small couch and king size bed. Shower amenities were attached to the shower wall as seems to be what most hotels are doing these days.
Breakfast is back for the most part to pre pandemic days with one exception- instant instead of made oatmeal. A concession I certainly can live with, lol.
This is our third stay here and would certainly stay again when back in the area.

Not one of my better experiences with a Hampton Inn. Front desk service was brusque and somewhat grudging. Room was very basic and small, with completely inadequate lighting and seating for two people. One elevator was out of service and the fitness center was unavailable due to renovations. Although this hotel is near a major sports stadium, there was no home game this weekend, so the high price seemed especially unreasonable. Would choose a different hotel if we traveled this way again.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. When we noticed that a hair dryer was not in the room, one was brought to the room right away. They also let us check out later than usual so we could change from suits to more comfortable travel clothes.

What is happening to the service industry today? Arrived back at the room in early evening and beds were not made .The staff are pleasant enough, but the service is lame , the rooms clean and modern , the breakfast 7 out of 10 .I was told that if I wanted the bed made ,I had to ask .WTF ? The Hampton charged me over $225 a night ,I have heard that in some hotels , if you want the room cleaned and beds made, you have to pay an extra service charge .WHAT? I should have stayed at a Motel 6 .It is so typical of the way things are today . An examples is ,car dealers charging administration fees, a friend told she wanted to pay cash , for a car and the dealer was going to charge her $900 extra , since the dealer was not going to make money off of the financing . I know it is off topic , but it is the way things are today .Bleed your customers , financially dry .

Being Hilton women for the last many decades (diamond member with over 2mm points) Ive decided to branch out to Marriot because of my constant disappointment with Hilton. Our 1 night stay at this Hampton was ok for the price point.
Pros: the breakfast was what I'd expect (eggs, meat, cereal, waffles, no yogurt ☹️). The decor was updated and pleasant, the bedding was soft and comfortable, the rooms had a microwave and mini fridge. The work out room was open 24 hrs and decent. Cons: Our beds were very squeaky, you could hear every step the people above us made, the bathroom wasn't clean, the check in person was unfriendly at best (which I've come to expect from Hilton regardless of the brand, except in fort Collins CO, and is the main reason why I'm exploring Marriotts) the location was industrial-like nothing appealing, the available TV stations were basic with zero movie channels, only commercial laden channel options. I have found no benefit, in terms of service, for being a Hilton honors member with any kind of status.

This is a nice hotel. We appreciated the travel guidance provided by Javi, hevwas most helpful!
My personal experience with Hampton Inns has been so good that anything less than perfect is noticeable! Most travelers wouldn't notice the minor shortcuts taken at this property. For the price (elevated for the holiday), we expect to be impressed. We felt like this was ordinary... the breakfast was more Choice Hotels than Hampton by Hilton.
All of the staff was pleasant. Cleaning people missed a couple of areas in the room (one area has been missed for awhile).
None of these were deal-breakers. I would choose this hotel again.
My bar may bexa little high, Hampton high!

This is based on a stay from 7.31 to 8.1 2022. Sunday afternoon arrival with very kind greeting and quick check in. Great suggestions on places to dine as Buffalo area is rather quite on a Sunday evening, thank you! Room - nice and clean.
Adjustment/Update needed - Black out blinds need to be exactly that. Hilton, quit putting these roll down blinds that allow a gap for sun to get in the room. You have alarm clocks and wake up calls to wake up guests, not a sunrise greeting. I was up at 6:25. I value sleep more than a trendy aesthetic. If I wanted that I would stay at an ALoft...
Breakfast offerings were better than most Hampton's we stay in, thank you. Keep it up. I know it is not easy balancing cost and offerings. Variety is great and does not mean it needs to be over stocked with pastries which this property had well planned (the variety).

Overnight front desk person was very rude! I was staying with my wife and a toddler so I asked for extra pillow but he refused to bring it up to my room!
Room was facing front of building so literally I can hear all the vehicles at night very poor window insulation!
Room floor was very weird it would make sound every time you walk!

We do not allow dogs that are pets.
Not sure, give them a call. It definitely is a well maintained hotel
If you used TripAdvisor routinely, you might not have had some of these issues. When I am about to take a trip, I check TripAdvisor reviews of the places I am contemplating staying and the activities I am considering.
I also write detailed reviews to help others make this type of decision.
If you stayed at more Hampton Inns, you would realize that the one in Buffalo Hamburg is quite a good one.
Four is the standard number of insulated paper cups by the coffeemaker in a Hampton Inn room.
I have recently been in a Hampton Inn on Montage Mountain, in Pennsylvania, where there was only one cup in the entire room, among other serious deficiencies (you can check my review--I also did not get a decent explanation by the manager, even after calling her directly, at her invitation, in response to my TripAdvisor review, which I titled, "Was Goldilocks in my room or not?"
In a Hampton Inn, there is a station with hot water for tea and several types of coffee 24/ 7--there are always napkins and paper cups there and you can help yourself to whatever you need.
Also, I asked the question about the paucity of trash cans in the dining area to a Hampton Inn several years ago--apparently it is company policy. When the breakfast area is open, there are additional trash cans within and there are also trash cans in the lobby.
The fresh white duvet cover, which you complained about in your review ( The ultra white comforters are nice, but white? I am visualizing all the yucky stuff that can end up on a comforter and look pretty gross), is one of the primary reasons I stay at Hamptons. It is also a standard feature at every Hampton Inn. Did you find anything yucky on your duvet cover? Were you aware that the duvet cover is freshly laundered for each guest?
If you have further issues with the hotel's response, you can always contact Hilton customer service.
However, if you were offered an alternate room with a bathtub and you did not choose to move, that is your issue and management is not bound by its satisfaction guarantee.
I have no ties whatsoever to Hilton management, but I am a Diamond Hhonors member this year and Hamptons are my preferred accommodation when on the road.
Next time you travel, 344 willow, do your research and you will not be disappointed.
The Hampton website has pictures of the type of rooms they offer at each site, as do the websites of Holiday Inns and most other motel and hotel chains.
Hope your next trip is more enjoyable and welcome to the TripAdvisor community.
