I needed a room to pick my daughter up from a camp at Colgate. I called the morning I was heading up there to see if there was availability. There was not but the woman who answered the phone said she would take my number and call me if something became available. Two hours later, she called. She was so...

$20 for lunch is something I would expect in LA, but a small college town in upstate NY? Well, it was very good, and the chocolate pudding dessert was out of this world. They need to get an espresso machine, though, if they want to cater to more city folks. The hotel and decor were just beautiful, I am sure...

After visiting Colgate we settled into the fine Colgate Inn for an excellent lunch. We sat outside under a large awning and enjoyed the summer breezes. Service was a bit slow but when the menu was delivered it really looked good. Soup, salads, and fine sandwiches such as lobster rolls, bahn mi, chicken parm, pulled pork, etc. My bahn mi...

Located on the town green in Hamilton, NY, you will be hard-pressed to find a nicer place to stay in the area. Although an old-world inn, it has been lovingly restored with many modern amenities. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were very good. I would suggest staying away from booking the rooms by the elevator...

Built in the 20's, this is a unique experience. Our room was two doubles and spacious. Great bathroom with hot water and good pressure. We had strong wifi. This was a perfect location for visiting Colgate. We walked to campus for an info session and tour. We had salads at the restaurant, which were wonderful, as well as room service...

We took a short ride from Syracuse, NY to celebrate with a birthday breakfast. When we asked if the patio was available for seating, the hostess was more than happy to show to our table. With temperatures in the low 90's the awning cover kept the area very comfortable. We were soon joined by more patrons wanting to also sit...

With a classic style, and two eateries on premises, this lodging option can accommodate a variety of tastes and needs. The pub has a nice fire place and often live music. The room was clean, and recently updated. With an elegant style, the business needs are still covered: meeting room, wifi, room service, etc.

Pros: The Inn enjoyes a great location in a sweet little town, and for the most part the hotel staff is warm and friendly -- Attractive, traditional room decor -- Cozy bar with large fireplace -- Jetted tubs in the room -- Complimentary bottles of water -- Decent blackout blinds and curtains for late sleepers -- Complimentary wi-fi Cons: We...

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Colgate Inn for one night over Valentine's Day weekend. The inn is beautifully situated on the town square, and has a feeling of elegance and warmth immediately upon entering the lobby. The rates were affordable, and we stayed in a beautiful suite (The Falcone Suite) which was impressively designed, had a large bathroom...

This hotel is in downtown Hamilton, NY. It's a quaint town. It's only a 10 minute walk to Colgate University. Within a few blocks of the hotel, there's a bookstore, coffee shop, several restaurants and a gorgeous town green. The rooms in the hotel are spacious, clean and quaint. My room was super comfortable -- and there were jacuzzi jets...
