Stayed here on a work trip to Gambia in mid January 2017 (just at the time of the crisis when President Jammeh was considering whether or not to step down). It's a very nice little hotel, not the flashest place on the block maybe, but still has a nice swimming pool etc round the back and is only a short...

We have just returned from a fantastic week in the calabash. All the staff were excellent and friendly and always ready to help. The location is suberb-just a few minutes from the beach. We will definately return.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, which was very spacious. It has cooking facilities, a dining room and front room with sofas and tv. Aircon and a safe are free. The apartment was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided. The pool area is lovely and towels are provided, Max the pool boy is a real credit to the hotel....

I had the most amazing stay in Calabash Residence. The rooms, technically flats, re huge, well equipped for self catering. The staff is beyond helpful and always smiling. Staying around them you feel like you're staying with family. Their own restaurant is very nice, with big selection an low prices but very nice food. They have a beauty saloon as...

Best holiday ever !!stayed at calabash residence for 3 week the pool was lovely n cleaned every day by max.The food was amazing to.N carnt forget the one n only Mr n he couldn't do enough for you n never stopped smiling.N the lovely staff fatou n Sam n the amazing Alfa sowe!!

Stayed at the Calabash for a week in the delux twin room...what a place...all very happy, very courteous and polite and extremely clean and homely. Nothing is too much trouble for these great people...look out for Omah the waiter, Maimuna and Mr B ...oh and Derek the personal taxi driver for the company...just a note the exchange rate at the...

We ended up having a few drinks on the terrace here on more occasions than I can remember during our 2 week stay. A bucket of Jubrew is cheap and it seems all the ex-pat Brits meet up there and exchange banter on everything that is important. The beer is cheap and we did eat here one evening, the food...
