2 and a half years ago on our last visit this place was in decline but they have turned it round now. Not so many cats infest the place now so there is a bit more wildlife around but as there are at least 4 cats remaining it will take more time to fix this. Would be great to see...

I absolutely love this place!! It's everything you want from a holiday. The rooms are spotless, basic yes but you're in Africa. The pool and gardens are gorgeous. Monkeys in the trees and a great viewing platform for birds and wildlife. Beaches are beautiful with massive waves. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and very very cheap. So if it's...

We booked this hotel as a last minute getaway. If you want something fancy and expensive it probably isn't for you. Our room was in the corner of one of the complexes so was quite dark - even turning the light on didn't make a huge amount of difference! But it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was more of...

This was my first visit to the hotel and I was more than pleasantly surprised at just how nice the Bakotu is. I have always stayed at the Sunset Beach in the past . The rooms are well appointed, the pool area very clean and tidy with quality furniture. The restaurant serves excellent food. The location is great, very close...

We arrived in a small dark reception area and were told our room keys were not available. We all crowded in the reception, after a long flight everyone was tired and just wanted their rooms. No complimentary drinks or welcome on arrival. Internet access was very bad for the whole time of our stay, we had to constantly ask reception...

We are returning to the Bakotu in 2 weeks time and I thought I would write this upfront, as we are returning for the 2nd time, the first time in travelling abroad to hotels we have done this and I thought I could tell you why. Its a quaint hotel just a minutes walk to the beach through the craft...

A very nice hotel with separate apartments in the grounds built in an African style. A small family of monkeys keep you entertained. If you want to stay in Kotu I would recommend this hotel. The main resturant while a little expensive on cost locally is good. The only real downside is thst in Kotu you are pestered a little...
